As Frances and Joyce battle for leadership of the new group, the others face problems of a much more personal nature. Erica and Will's relationship is tested after his cancer diagnosis, Pat is struggling with her unhappy marriage and Miriam has one last chance to stop David enlisting. Newcomer Teresa Fenchurch gets off to a bad start, but her mishap brings a dashing RAF officer to the village. Francesca Annis (Actor) .. Joyce Cameron
Born: May 14, 1945 in London
Best Known For: Being Ralph Fiennes' former other half.
Early-life: Born in 1944 in Brazil, where her parents, singer Marquita and actor Anthony owned a nightclub. The family moved back to Britain when she was seven. Her convent education led to Francesca considering a life as a nun, but a talent scout spotted her during a school production and cast her in a play for the BBC. However, her big break came when she was given a role in the Elizabeth Taylor vehicle Cleopatra.
Career: Annis has worked extensively on the big and small screen, as well as the stage; one of her earliest big screen appearances came courtesy of a blink-and-you'll-miss-it role in Carry on Teacher way back in 1959. Her TV credits include the series Lillie, The Gravy Train Goes East, Dalziel and Pascoe, Reckless, Cranford, and Wives and Daughters _ for which she received a Best Actress Bafta nomination. She has featured in films such as Roman Polanski's Macbeth (which featured her reciting the sleepwalking soliloquy in the nude), Dune, Milk, and Revolver. In the theatre, she has gained critical acclaim for productions such as The Vortex, Blood and Shoreditch Madonna.

Trivia: She was actor Ralph Fiennes' partner for 11 years and has three children from her previous relationship with actor Patrick Wiseman.

Best Known For: Playing Jane Cobden in Ripper Street.
Early-life: Born in Liverpool in 1980. Leanne studied at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts before moving to London. Here, she worked as a waitress and a shop assistant before making her TV debut in Casualty in 2004.
Career: Best has appeared in such TV series as Doctors, Shetland, New Tricks, Line of Duty, Fortitude, Ripper Street and Cold Feet. She played the titular role in The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death (2014), as well as Min Sakul in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) and Rose Deeks in TV film Babs (2017). She has made a number of stage appearances, particularly in Liverpool, in such plays as Macbeth, A Streetcar Named Desire and Educating Rita.
Quote: 'It was never a novel idea to me that women were strong, capable and grounded. You know, sometimes the goddess strews flowers and sometimes she has a flaming torch.'
Trivia: She trained as an athlete during her teen years and ran competitively for England at 16.

Early-life: Born in Edinburgh in 1970. She originally wanted to be a ballet dancer but caught the acting bug.
Career: Appeared in the movies Crimetime and Vanity Fair before appearing with Ken Stott in BBC One's psychological thriller, Messiah. Her recent work includes River City, Garrow's Law, Doctors and Shetland.
Quote: "In three weeks of marriage, it's true to say I was unfaithful seven times."
Trivia: Grey has featured in a number of Radio 4 dramas, including Look Back in Anger.
Rachel Hurd-Wood (Actor) .. Kate Campbell
Born: August 17, 1990 in Streatham, London
Best Known For: Playing Sibyl Vane in Dorian Gray.
Early-life: Rachel Clare Hurd-Wood was born on August 17, 1990 in Streatham, London. She lived in London until age eight, when she and her family moved to Godalming, Surrey. Rachel joined a drama club while she was at school. When Rachel was 18, she moved back to London to study linguistics at University College London. She dropped out and travelled to Australia to film Tomorrow, When the War Began, which is when she decided to focus on her acting career.
Career: Hurd-Wood's first acting role was as Wendy Darling in the feature film Peter Pan (2002), which she auditioned for after her grandparents spotted a TV advert for it. Her next role was in the TV film Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Silk Stocking (2004). She then went on to appear in such feature films as An American Haunting (2005), Perfume: The Story of a Murderer (2006), Dorian Gray (2009) and Solomon Kane (2009). Hurd-Wood also had lead roles in Tomorrow, When the War Began (2010), Hideaways (2011) and Highway to Dhampus (2014). On TV, she has appeared in the period drama Home Fires and the thriller Clique.
Quote: 'I'm uncomfortable with the limelight. I'm not the type to go to the places where I know I'll be seen. I'd rather keep a low profile.'
Trivia: Hurd-Wood has also done some modelling. She posed for the publicity and poster material for Volstead Putsch and modelled merchandise for Raw Riddim Records in 2008.

Early-life: Claire Louise Rushbrook was born in Hitchin on January 2, 1971. She has an older brother. She went on to study acting at Rose Bruford College and worked mainly on the stage for five years before making the move into film and TV. In her first TV credit, she played a policewoman in an episode of Casualty.
Career: In 1996, Rushbrook had a supporting role in Mike Leigh's acclaimed film Secrets & Lies. Her TV credits include Touching Evil, The Sins, Linda Green, Carrie & Barry, Doctor Who, Inspector George Gently, Mutual Friends, Collision, The Fades, and Whitechapel. More recently, she has starred in Home Fires and My Mad Fat Diary. On the big screen, she has made appearances in Under the Skin (1997), Spice World (1997), Plunkett & Macleane (1999) and Enid (2009).

Trivia: Rushbrook was nominated for a Bafta TV Award in 2014 for My Mad Fat Diary.
