Early-life:
Christina was born in Hollywood on November 25, 1971, the daughter of record producer Robert Applegate and singer-actress Nancy Priddy. Christina made her acting debut at the age of five months when her mother worked on a commercial for baby bottles. In 1981, she made her film debut in Jaws of Satan and also starred in Beatlemania.
Career:
Applegate had guest roles in a number of TV shows before her big break in 1987 when she was cast as Kelly Bundy in the hugely popular sitcom Married… with Children. She went on to play the character for 11 years in more than 250 episodes. While working on Married… with Children, she also starred in Streets (1990), Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead (1991) and Mars Attacks! (1996). More recently, Applegate has starred in the sitcoms Jesse, Samantha Who? and Up All Night, and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004) and its sequel Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (2013).

Trivia:
In 2008, Applegate underwent a double mastectomy after being diagnosed with breast cancer.
