Nick Knowles travels to Dartford to meet Scott and Jenny, whose third son Charlie was born with cerebral palsy and developmental delay. The boy needs round-the-clock care, which his mother gave up work to provide, but now he is 13, the family are struggling to cope in their small home. Having heard of their plight, the DIY SOS team turns up to transform their end terrace, backed up by an army of local tradespeople, with designer Naomi Cleaver on hand to ensure they don't stray too far from her vision
