Season 6 · Episode 12
Peter Mason from Herefordshire brings an old-fashioned ice cream maker into the Repair Shop. Once belonging to his beloved Granny Ethel, Peter hopes metal craftsman Dom can bring the sentimental kitchen curiosity back to life. David Burville takes on the challenge of restoring a Spanish barrel organ known as an organillo. Owner Carolina Urraca is hoping David can breathe new life into the instrument she loved to play when growing up with her grandmother in Spain. Audio specialist tackles the repair of Lorraine McCourt's portable record player from the 1950s. Originally a gift from her father to her mother when they were courting, the precious momento brings back memories of Lorraine's parents dancing to Nat King Cole.
