Sara Pascoe hosts the start of the eighth series of the sewing competition, with 12 keen amateurs taking part, all judged by Savile Row tailor Patrick Grant and fashion designer Esme Young. They begin by making wool mini skirts with piped patch pockets, before transforming lockdown loungewear into adult tops suitable for a night out. For the made-to-measure task, each sewer must perfectly fit a wrap dress to their model. As ever, one hopeful is awarded garment of the week, while another becomes the first to be sent home
