They learned about the village that was flooded to make way for the reservoir, which still supplies Liverpool with water, and marvel at the famous dam, a Victorian engineering feat. He also remembers walking a section of the Slate Trail in Eryri National Park, where he enjoyed a spot of rock climbing and bumping into a pair of llamas while exploring the Berwyn Mountains in north-east Wales
