As middle-school student Emily Elizabeth struggles to fit in at home and school, she is given a small red puppy by a magical animal rescuer. However, the pup soon grows to gigantic proportions, and attracts the attention of a genetics company who wish to breed super-sized animals. Emily and her clueless uncle Casey have to fight the forces of greed as they go on the run across New York City. Family adventure based on the book series, starring Jack Whitehall, Darby Camp and John Cleese
