Chris Terrill Remembers - Soho Stories
The year 1996 saw the peak of Britpop, the divorce of Charles and Diana and England hosting the European Football Championship, but also saw the beginnings of new TV genre docusoap with Chris Terrill's series Soho Stories. Armed with a single camera, Chris embedded himself in the heart of this multi-faceted community, charting their lives, their work, relationships, religion, and fears. He reveals how his career as an anthropologist provided the inspiration for the series and how the invention of a new type of video camera made it a reality
