Hearing dog Diesel is off to the beach with his owner Rayane so Rayane can try out the new metal detector he got for his birthday. Rayane is deaf, which means he doesn't hear everything, and Diesel's super ears are trained to alert Rayane to important sounds he might miss. Diesel is Rayane's ears! Rayane and Diesel have been practising with the metal detector in the garden. At the beach, Diesel helps Mum find the perfect spot for a picnic. Then Rayane and Diesel head off with their metal detector in search of some treasure. They find a harmonica, a spoon, some coins, a metal clip and then? a set of car keys. They head back up the beach to find Mum, and together they set off to reunite the missing car keys with their owner. Can Diesel's super ears save the day again?

But they'll need some help from the 'top secret bumpy bits' - the clever dots and lines on the pavement that contain secret messages for visually impaired people - and their guide dogs. First, Kika and Amit have to find the footpath, which is next to a cycle lane. Then, Kika guides Amit down the steps to the crossing near the flower shop, which has a 'tail' of bumpy bits all the way across the pavement. But on their way back, Kika finds the crossing blocked by a fallen tree branch. She has to engage her 'super sit', where she refuses to continue until it's safe. Kika summons her super sight once more and sets off in search of a different crossing to get Amit and his flowers home safely.
