Hoping to breathe new life into one of Andalusia's forgotten villages, Amanda takes a gamble on a run-down three-storey townhouse and convinces Alan to help her to transform it into a boutique B&B. In a bid to push their DIY skills to a whole new level, the pair visit Granada's architectural marvel and the pinnacle of Moorish design - the Alhambra Palace. However, with over 2,000 square feet to contend with, a roof in need of repair and a crumbling outbuilding on its last legs, it seems they may be in over their heads

Amanda Holden and Alan Carr set about designing a Spanish dining room and foyer. Alan's dreams of a lavish reception area are soon quashed when Amanda suggests his special space should be a cupboard under the stairs. To get some impressive design inspiration, the duo head to the outskirts of Vejer to a boutique hotel filled with local salvaged treasures. Amanda also visits the largest reclamation yard in Andalusia to upcycle an old Spanish door into a statement dining table, but Alan fears she may have taken her upcycling too far and is bluntly honest with his friend

Amanda Holden and Alan Carr consider the kitchen. With a love for eating and entertaining, it's crucial to the project that they get this social space perfect. They plan a Spanish-tiled extravaganza, but are initially unable to agree on a colour scheme. Alan's sloppy bricklaying skills are put to the test when Scott ropes him in to try to build a traditional cooker hood, but Amanda is unimpressed with the result. The best friends head to Seville for a tapas tour at the city's gastronomic hub. Though not a fan of heights, Alan prepares to face his fears when invited on a rock-climbing course
