The Gunners are the reigning champions and are appearing in a record 17th quarter-final, and progressed to this round after beating Belgian side OH Leuven 7-1 on aggregate in the play-off round. The Blues finished in the top four of the table in the league phase so qualified automatically for the last eight, and will hope to continue their streak of having won all of their previous six quarter-final appearances in this competition
