Early-life:
Oscar Isaac Hernandez Estrada was born on March 9, 1979, in Guatemala. When he was five months old, his family settled in the United States and he was raised in Miami, Florida. His professional acting career started at the Area Stage Company, Miami Beach, when Artistic Director John Rodaz cast him in a play. While living in Miami, he played lead guitar and sang vocals for ska-punk band The Blinking Underdogs, who enjoyed some success including opening for Green Day. He put his music to one side when he was accepted on the acting programme at the Juilliard School in New York City.
Career:
Isaac's early TV and film appearances were in crime drama Illtown (1998), action comedy All About the Benjamins (2002) and Law and Order: Criminal Intent. His first major film role was as Joseph in The Nativity Story (2006). He played lead roles in Inside Llewyn Davis (2013), A Most Violent Year (2014) and Ex Machina (2015). Isaac played X-wing pilot Poe Dameron in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) and, more recently, he appeared in X-Men: Apocalypse as the titular supervillain.

Garrett John Hedlund was born in Roseau, Minnesota, on September 3, 1984 to Kristine and Robert. He has an older brother, Nathaniel, and an older sister, Amanda. At the age of 14, he moved with his mother to Arizona, where he began taking acting lessons. After graduating from high school, he relocated to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career.
Career:
In 2004, Hedlund made his film acting debut in Troy and also starred in Friday Night Lights. Concentrating on big-screen roles, he has gone on to have parts in Four Brothers (2005), Eragon (2006), Country Strong (2010), Tron: Legacy (2010), On the Road (2012) and Inside Llewyn Davis (2013).

Mark Robert Michael Wahlberg was born on June 5, 1971, in Boston, Massachusetts. The youngest of nine children, his mother was a bank clerk and his father a delivery driver. He didn't graduate from high school. He had a troubled youth, but at 13 was in the original line-up of the New Kids on the Block. He quit due to their squeaky-clean image, but achieved his own chart success with Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. In the early 1990s, he modelled underwear for Calvin Klein and made a workout video.
Career:
Wahlberg's film career kicked off in 1993 with TV movie The Substitute. A year later he made his big-screen debut in flop comedy Renaissance Man. Impressive turns in The Basketball Diaries and Fear made critics realise he was more than just another pop star-turned-actor. It was 1997 drama Boogie Nights that made his name as an actor. By 2000 he was a Hollywood hot property with roles in Three Kings and The Perfect Storm. Although a revamp of Planet of the Apes divided critics, Wahlberg delivered fine turns in The Italian Job remake, Four Brothers, I Heart Huckabees, The Departed and The Fighter. He is also a respected producer, with credits on Entourage, In Treatment, Boardwalk Empire, and How to Make It In America.

Born in Alabama on November 10, 1971, but raised in Lithia Springs, Georgia, Walton Sanders Goggins Jr was interested in performing from an early age. When he was 10, he and his mother were the Georgia State champion Cloggers, otherwise known as Mountain Dancing. Young Walton and his mum also opened for BB King at the Atlanta Fulton County Prison when he was on tour in the area.
Career:
Goggins' first acting role was in a 1989 episode of In the Heat of the Night. That was closely followed by roles in TV film Murder in Mississippi, Beverly Hills 90210, Renegade and JAG. He's since appeared in Shanghai Noon, The Bourne Identity, and House of 1000 Corpses. Many people may recognise him from his part in The World's Fastest Indian, but it's for co-starring in gritty crime drama The Shield that he remains best known. He has starred in American drama Justified since 2010. His recent big-screen credits include Cowboys & Aliens, Straw Dogs, Lincoln, Django Unchained and GI Joe: Retaliation.
