Early-life: Daniel Kevin Fogler was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 20, 1976 to English teacher Shari and surgeon Richard. He attended the School of Theatre at Boston University before starting his professional career in acting.
Career: In his Broadway debut, Fogler played William Barfee in the musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. He won a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor (Musical), among a handful of other awards, for this performance. This resulted in him getting a number of opportunities in film and he went on to play the lead role in the comedy Balls Of Fury (2007). His other film credits include Good Luck Chuck (2007), Fanboys (2009) and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016). Fogler has also done voiceover acting in a number of films, including Horton Hears a Who! (2008), Kung Fu Panda (2008) and Mars Needs Moms (2011). As well as film, he has appeared in such TV shows as Hannibal, American Dad!, Man Up! and Secrets and Lies. He wrote and directed the films Hysterical Psycho (2009) and Don Peyote (2014).

Trivia: He is a founding member of the theatre company Stage 13, where he serves as one of its artistic directors.
