Early-life: Born Gordon James Ramsay Jr on November 8, 1966, in Johnstone, Scotland. He and his three siblings grew up in Stratford-upon-Avon. As a youngster he dreamed of playing professional football for Glasgow Rangers, and played for numerous junior teams.
