Johnny Knoxville (Contributor)
Born: March 11, 1971 in Knoxville, Tennessee
Best Known For: Fronting offbeat comedy stunt show Jackass.
Early-life: Born Philip John Clapp on March 11, 1971, in Knoxville, Tennessee, the son of a used-car salesman. He was a sickly child and almost died while suffering simultaneous bouts of flu, pneumonia and bronchitis. He is also asthmatic. He decided to become an actor after reading Jack Kerouac's On The Road, and after high school, he studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena, California, but dropped out after three weeks. Rather than going straight into acting, he took a job on skateboarding magazine Big Brother.
Career: Made his movie debut in 1995's Desert Blues, but it was an article about self-defence equipment, which he tested on himself, which brought him to the attention of MTV. As a result, he, magazine editor Jeff Tremaine and director Spike Jonze created Jackass, in which various people do bizarre and often dangerous stunts. The show became a massive success at home and abroad, prompting big screen spin-offs. He's since attempted to establish himself as a film actor, and has appeared in Coyote Ugly, Men in Black II, Grand Theft Parsons, Walking Tall, The Dukes of Hazzard, Killshot, and Bad Grandpa.
Quote: "People think by challenging me they're going to show they're tough. But I'm not tough. Decent drinker. Not such a bad kisser. But not a great fighter."
Trivia: He is a big fan of Johnny Cash.

Born: June 13, 1974 in London
Best Known For: Jackass.
Early-life: Born Stephen Gilchrist Glover in London on June 13, 1974 to a Canadian mother and an American father. Because his father had a high-ranking position within Pepsi-Cola, Steve-O moved a lot during his childhood. He spent time in Canada, Brazil, Venezuela, Uganda and America before his family returned to London when he was nine. He dropped out of the University of Miami after one year, spent time at the University of New Mexico and then attended the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Clown College. He worked as a clown in a circus at the Fort Lauderdale Swap Shop flea market.
Career: Steve-O rose to prominence performing stunts and pranks alongside Bam Margera and Johnny Knoxville on MTV reality series Jackass. The popular series ran for three seasons between 2000 and 2002. After Jackass, he co-starred with Chris Pontius in four seasons of MTV's Wildboyz, performing stunts and acts with animals. In 2006, he went on a drug binge after being misdiagnosed with a serious heart condition. Heart specialists later confirmed he was in good health. With a spell in rehab behind him, Steve-O was a contestant on the eighth season of Dancing with the Stars. He was eliminated in the sixth week. He has appeared in three Jackass films. In early 2015, he was a contestant on Channel 4 reality series The Jump.
Quote: "Abuse yourself all you want - just leave animals out of it. Don't wear fur."
Trivia: He launched his own footwear company in 2005 called Sneaux Shoes. In 2011, he published Professional Idiot: A Memoir, a book written with David Peisner.
