Born: May 14, 1976 in London
Best Known For: Playing EastEnder Tiffany Mitchell.
Early-life: Born Martine Kimberley Sherrie Ponting on May 14, 1976, in Hackney, East London. Her mother Jenny and biological father Thomas had a stormy, violent relationship. He left the family home when Martine was two. Jenny went on to marry window cleaner John McCutcheon, and her daughter took his name. At school, Martine landed parts in several plays, and at the age of 10, began attending the Italia Conti Stage School in London.
Career: McCutcheon made her TV debut in Bluebirds in 1989 and at 15 fronted the all-girl band Milan, which went on tour with East 17. She started playing Tiffany Mitchell in EastEnders when she was 17 and, for three years, was one of the show's most popular characters. McCutcheon left Albert Square to pursue a singing career - her first single, Perfect Moment, shot straight to the top of the charts. She won an Olivier Award in 2002 for her West End debut role as Eliza Doolittle in a revival of My Fair Lady, although her run was cut short by ill health. She has also starred in Love Actually, The English Harem and Echo Beach. Away from acting she's released a fitness DVD, two autobiographies and a novel, and was a judge on short-lived ITV show Let's Get Gold.

Trivia: She was declared bankrupt in 2013.
Charles Kay (Actor) .. Canon Pennyfather
Ed Stoppard (Actor) .. Malinowski
Nicholas Burns (Actor) .. Jack Britten/Joel Britten
Mica Paris (Actor) .. Amelia Walker
Francesca Annis (Actor) .. Lady Selina Hazy
Born: May 14, 1945 in London
Best Known For: Being Ralph Fiennes' former other half.
Early-life: Born in 1944 in Brazil, where her parents, singer Marquita and actor Anthony owned a nightclub. The family moved back to Britain when she was seven. Her convent education led to Francesca considering a life as a nun, but a talent scout spotted her during a school production and cast her in a play for the BBC. However, her big break came when she was given a role in the Elizabeth Taylor vehicle Cleopatra.
Career: Annis has worked extensively on the big and small screen, as well as the stage; one of her earliest big screen appearances came courtesy of a blink-and-you'll-miss-it role in Carry on Teacher way back in 1959. Her TV credits include the series Lillie, The Gravy Train Goes East, Dalziel and Pascoe, Reckless, Cranford, and Wives and Daughters _ for which she received a Best Actress Bafta nomination. She has featured in films such as Roman Polanski's Macbeth (which featured her reciting the sleepwalking soliloquy in the nude), Dune, Milk, and Revolver. In the theatre, she has gained critical acclaim for productions such as The Vortex, Blood and Shoreditch Madonna.
Quote: "Eat well and sleep well. That will feed your nervous system and your psyche. As you get older, you look how you feel."
Trivia: She was actor Ralph Fiennes' partner for 11 years and has three children from her previous relationship with actor Patrick Wiseman.
Peter Davison (Actor) .. Hubert Curtain
Born: April 13, 1951 in Streatham, London
Best Known For: Being the fifth Doctor Who.
Early-life: Born Peter Moffett on April 13, 1951, in Streatham, south London. He moved with his three sisters to Surrey when his parents, Sheila and Claude, bought a village store. He had an undistinguished time at Winston Churchill School, but he did enjoy music and drama. After leaving with three O-levels, he considered teaching, but entered the Central School of Speech and Drama after catching the acting bug through amateur performances. To avoid confusion with director Peter Moffatt, he changed his surname to Davison.
Career: Davison's first professional role was in Love's Labour's Lost at Nottingham Playhouse in 1972 and his TV debut came in a 1975 episode of The Tomorrow People. A lean spell followed (during which he spent 18 months working in a tax office in Twickenham), but his big break came in 1978 when he landed the role of Tristan Farnon in All Creatures Great and Small. In 1981, he took over from Tom Baker as the fifth Doctor Who, but quit three years later for fear of being typecast. Other career highlights include A Very Peculiar Practice, Campion, At Home with the Braithwaites, The Last Detective, The Complete Guide to Parenting, Distant Shores and Law & Order: UK. Throughout 2010, he starred in the West End production of Legally Blonde, and directed and wrote a spoof documentary called The Five(ish) Doctors to tie in with Doctor Who's 50th anniversary in 2013.
Quote: "You don't ever decide you're old - at least I haven't yet. I'm still quite surprised if I get dragged for a night out somewhere why I'm yawning by half-past-11."
Trivia: He composed the theme tunes for Button Moon and Mixed Blessings. His actress daughter, Georgia Moffett, is married to David Tennant.
Shenton Dixon (Actor) .. Louis Armstrong
Polly Walker (Actor) .. Bess Sedgwick

Best Known For: Playing scheming minx Atia in epic drama Rome.
Early-life: Polly Walker was born in Warrington on May 19,1966. Her first school was Silverdale Preparatory in West Acton, London. She began her career as a dancer, but had to change direction after sustaining a serious injury at the age of 18. She moved from the London Drama Centre to the Royal Shakespeare Company, where she played bit parts for six months before graduating to small roles on TV.
Career: Walker landed the title role in the TV series Lorna Doone before making her feature debut in Shogun Warrior in 1991. In the same year she appeared in two other films, Les Equilibristes and Mike Newell's Enchanted April, in which she played an aristocrat eager to escape the attentions of her persistent admirers. She came to international attention as a single-minded member of an Irish terrorist splinter group in Phillip Noyce's Patriot Games (1992), and has worked steadily in both TV and cinema since, including a star turn in the miniseries State of Play. In 2005, she appeared in the first season of the HBO series Rome, playing Atia, the niece of Julius Caesar and mother of Octavian, later Caesar Augustus. More recent work includes roles in Waking the Dead, Miss Marple: At Bertram's Hotel, Numb3rs, Caprica, Sanctuary, Prisoners Wives, Clash of the Titans (2010), John Carter (2012), Warehouse 13 and Mr Selfridge.

Hannah Spearritt (Actor) .. Tilly Rice
Danny Webb (Actor) .. Mutti
Stephen Mangan (Actor) .. Inspector Larry Bird
Born: July 22, 1972 in London

Early-life: Born on July 22, 1972, in London, and was raised in Hertfordshire. His parents were Irish, and his father owned a building company. He became interested in acting after appearing in numerous school plays, but never thought he would tread the boards professionally. Instead, he studied law at Cambridge University, but decided against being a solicitor after taking a year out to care of his terminally ill mother. After a spell at Rada, he began landing theatre roles.
Career: Mangan became a regular on the West End stage, and apart from some foreign adverts, steered clear of TV work for years. He made his film debut in Martha, Meet Frank, Daniel and Laurence in 1998, and had a small role in Billy Elliot. Early TV appearances came in Big Bad World, Sword of Honour, In Defence and Human Remains before his big break as the lead in Adrian Mole: The Cappuccino Years. He's worked consistently in movies and on TV ever since, with roles in Jane Hall, Marple, Never Better, I'm Alan Partridge, Hyperdrive, and the acclaimed Green Wing. His recent work includes Dirk Gently and Episodes on TV, as well as several well-received stage performances.
