Pathologist Kate Wilding discovers the victim's daughter was being expelled from the local prep school and it emerges Debbie died just hours after an argument at a parents' council meeting. Her phone leads the detectives to Oliver Ordish, with whom she was having an affair

Early-life:
Born in Doncaster in 1961. His dad drove a bread delivery van and his mum was an assistant supermarket manager, although they both also performed on the club circuit. Neil credits his own love of acting to a teacher who forced him to read aloud in an assembly _ it was supposed to be a punishment for misbehaving in class, but Neil found he actually enjoyed it. He went to appear in school plays, before studying drama at Rada.
Career:
Neil made his film debut in 1987 with an uncredited role in Prick Up Your Ears, and went on to appear in London's Burning on TV the following year. He's worked pretty steadily since then in a wide range of TV shows, although he admits he's most frequently cast as a cop _ he's starred in Inspector Morse, Out of the Blue, Between the Lines, Messiah and Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Silk Stocking. Last year it was announced that he would be taking on his most high-profile police role to date when he took over from John Nettles as the star of Midsomer Murders. He has also starred alongside Caroline Quentin in the sitcom Life of Riley.

Early-life:
Fiona Jane Dolman was born in Findhorn, Moray, on January 1, 1970 to Rosemary and Gordon. She is the youngest daughter of four children. Her father worked in the RAF and he moved his family to Gibraltar when Fiona was 15. In 1993, she made her TV acting debut in Crime Story.
Career:
Roles followed for Dolman on the small screen in Strike Force, A Touch of Frost, The Knock and Ultraviolet. In 1998, she joined the cast of Heartbeat playing Jackie Lambert. She went on to have a recurring role in The Royal Today. In 2011, she began playing Sarah Barnaby alongside Neil Dudgeon in Midsomer Murders.

Tamzin was born in Yeovil on May 1, 1974. She joined a drama workshop when she was 11 and went on to train at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London. Her first TV role was a guest appearance on A Touch of Frost in 1996.
Career:
Malleson's first major role was a recurring part on BBC drama Dangerfield. She followed this up with guest appearances in The Bill, Always and Everyone, Agatha Christie's Poirot and The Vice. Her first break came in 2002 when she landed a lead role in Channel 4 drama Teachers. She also had a recurring role in BBC medical drama Bodies. Since 2011, she has played pathologist Dr Kate Wilding in ITV drama Midsomer Murders.

Harriet Jane Morahan was born in London in 1978. Her father is TV director Christopher Morahan and her mother is actress Anna Carteret. Her older sister, Rebecca, is a theatre director. Hattie went on to study English at Cambridge University. While at Cambridge, she directed and appeared in student productions, including A View from the Bridge. She made her professional debut at the age of 17 in two-part BBC drama The Peacock Spring.
Career:
Morahan joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2001 and made her RSC debut in Love in a Wood. In an extensive stage career, she has starred in Hamlet, Arsenic and Old Lace, Singer, Twelfth Night, The Family Reunion, A Doll's House and The Real Thing. Her TV credits include Sense and Sensibility, New Tricks, Outnumbered, Lewis, Eternal Law, Midsomer Murders and The Bletchley Circle. She made her big-screen debut in The Golden Compass (2007).

Early-life:
Born in London on November 6, 1963, Patrick attended the South East London School Drama Group from the age of 14 to 19. He studied architecture at college for a year before leaving to join the Robert Stigwood Organisation as an office messenger. He then attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (Lamda).
Career:
He spent four years with the Royal Shakespeare Company before leaving to join Casualty in 1990 to play charge nurse Martin 'Ash' Ashford. After leaving the series in 1996, he appeared in numerous stage productions and on TV in A Many Splintered Thing, The Bill, and Midsomer Murders. In February 2013, he returned to Casualty to reprise his role as Ash. After nearly 17 years away, the character returned as a doctor. In September 2013, Patrick became a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing.

Born Martine Kimberley Sherrie Ponting on May 14, 1976, in Hackney, East London. Her mother Jenny and biological father Thomas had a stormy, violent relationship. He left the family home when Martine was two. Jenny went on to marry window cleaner John McCutcheon, and her daughter took his name. At school, Martine landed parts in several plays, and at the age of 10, began attending the Italia Conti Stage School in London.
Career:
McCutcheon made her TV debut in Bluebirds in 1989 and at 15 fronted the all-girl band Milan, which went on tour with East 17. She started playing Tiffany Mitchell in EastEnders when she was 17 and, for three years, was one of the show's most popular characters. McCutcheon left Albert Square to pursue a singing career - her first single, Perfect Moment, shot straight to the top of the charts. She won an Olivier Award in 2002 for her West End debut role as Eliza Doolittle in a revival of My Fair Lady, although her run was cut short by ill health. She has also starred in Love Actually, The English Harem and Echo Beach. Away from acting she's released a fitness DVD, two autobiographies and a novel, and was a judge on short-lived ITV show Let's Get Gold.

Born Robert O'Neill on August 15, 1966 in Weston-super-Mare, Con's TV acting debut was a walk-on role in Willy Russell's coming-of-age drama One Summer. At the age of 22, he was cast in another Russell project, playing Mickey on the stage in Blood Brothers. His performance won him the 1988 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical and a Tony nomination for the Broadway version.
