Early-life:
Kelly Denise Bright was born in Brentwood, Essex, on July 1, 1976. She was a child actor and her early credits include T-Bag and the Revenge of the T-Set, Maid Marian and Her Merry Men and Brush Strokes. In 1990, she landed one of the main roles in popular ITV sitcom The Upper Hand, playing the daughter of Joe McGann's character. It ran for seven series until 1996.
Career:
Bright had a main role in the fourth series of Bad Girls, and she has made guest appearances in a number of TV shows, including The Bill, Silent Witness, Jericho, The Catherine Tate Show, New Tricks, Hotel Babylon, Holby City and Vera. She played Joan Trotter in Only Fools and Horses' spin-off Rock and Chips. In 2013, she joined the cast of EastEnders as Linda Carter. Her film credits include Ali G Indahouse (2002). In August 2015, it was announced that she would be a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing.
