Sidney takes Geordie to Johnny Johnson's London jazz club, hoping to leave their worries in Grantchester for the night, but the backstage murder of Johnny's sister Claudette puts paid to that. When Archie, the victim's father and owner of the club, calls in a police officer pal to crack the case, Geordie immediately detects the copper is corrupt, while Sidney makes an important discovery about Claudette that she had kept hidden from all but those closest to her. As every lead seems to come back to Archie's violent past, recriminations within the family begin to play out

Early-life:
James Geoffrey Ian Norton was born on July 18, 1985 in London. His family lived in Malton, North Yorkshire and he was educated at Ampleforth College. James read Theology at Fitzwilliam College at Cambridge University and graduated in 2007. He went on to study at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and got a role in An Education (2009) shortly before he was due to graduate.
Career:
After An Education, Norton had a number of theatre roles, including appearances in Posh at Royal Court Theatre, That Face at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield and a touring production of Journey's End. He then went on to get parts in a number of films, including Cheerful Weather for the Wedding (2012), Rush (2013), Belle (2013) and Northmen: A Viking Saga (2014). He has also had a number of roles in TV, including as Henry Alveston in Death Comes to Pemberley, Andrei Bolkonsky in War and Peace, Tommy Lee Royce in Happy Valley and Sidney Chambers in Grantchester.

Early-life:
Born Robson Golightly Green in Hexham, Northumberland, on December 18, 1964, the son of a miner. He has two sisters and a brother. As a child, he harboured ambitions to become a pilot in the RAF and joined the Air Training Corps, but after leaving school, he took a draughtsman's apprenticeship at a shipbuilder's yard instead. However, after appearing in various amateur dramatic productions, he quit his job to take up acting full time.
Career:
Robson started out at Newcastle's Live Theatre, and was spotted in BBC production A Night on the Tyne, which led to a regular role in Casualty. He then spent four years in Soldier Soldier, during which he began a successful singing partnership with co-star Jerome Flynn. The pair also starred together in Ain't Misbehavin' in 1997. Other projects include The Student Prince, Touching Evil, Grafters, Northern Lights, Wire in the Blood, Close and True, Being Human and Waterloo Road. A keen fisherman, he has filmed several series of Extreme Fishing with Robson Green, which has taken him across the globe. He also has a production company, Coastal.

Early-life:
Born on September 14, 1991 in Lambeth, London to Jonathan Riley and Clare Conville. Ted has two siblings, called Thomas and Mary Riley. Before starting his acting career, Ted had no formal acting training but was part of a youth theatre. His first professional acting role was in an episode of Casualty as Danni Petrovich.
Career:
After his role in Casualty, Reilly appeared in the short film Heart of Nowhere, which accompanied the Noah and the Whale album of the same name. In 2014, he appeared in episodes of Suspects, Law and Order UK, Playhouse Presents and Grantchester. His other TV credits include Call the Midwife and Hetty Feather. He has also had roles in the short films Two Seas, Half Time and Down and Party Party. In 2016, he was cast as Johnny Carter in EastEnders, taking the character over from Sam Strike, and has been a series regular ever since.
