Season 4, Episode 5

Following Jo's assault, the team is devastated. While Sandy feels guilty for not protecting her more, Jimmy tries to keep everyone focused, but pressure mounts on him to re-arrest Malone. However, in the absence of evidence, Perez resists. Adding to his stress, DI Cole and DS Jackson from the MIT arrive and begin picking holes in his investigation. Stunned that a search of Malone's farmhouse has not been carried out, Cole and Jackson conduct their own. However, when they arrive, Malone is nowhere to be seen

Douglas Henshall (Actor) .. DI Jimmy Perez
Born: November 19, 1965 in Barrhead, near Paisley
Best Known For: Playing Cutter in Primeval.
Early-life: Douglas James Henshall was born in Glasgow on November 19, 1965. His mum was a nurse, his father a salesman and he has two older sisters. Although he appeared in school plays, he didn't decide to become an actor until he was 17. Before that, he wanted to be a football commentator or an artist. After graduation, he made ends meet working as an insurance salesman in London, before heading back to Glasgow to join the 7:84 Theatre Group.
Career: Henshall made his TV debut in an episode of Taggart in 1990, but got his big break three years later when he starred alongside his friend Ewan McGregor in the Dennis Potter drama Lipstick on Your Collar. Henshall went on to star in films including Orphans and This Year's Love, and in 1999 won rave reviews for his performances in the TV dramas Psycho and Kid in the Corner. He's also appeared in Anna Karenina, Lawless Heart, Frances Tuesday, Primeval and The Secret of Crickley Hall. He made his West End debut in 2005 playing Biff Loman in Death of a Salesman alongside Brian Dennehy, and in 2012 portrayed Oliver Cromwell in the play 55 Days. Other projects have included The Secret of Crickley Hall and Doors Open.
Quote: 'I used to say 'no' a lot, waiting for this mythic job that was going to come along. Now I do what's in front of me, rather than what might be round the corner.'
Trivia: Away from acting, he supports Scottish football team St Mirren.

Steven Robertson (Actor) .. DC Sandy Wilson
Julie Graham (Actor) .. Rhona Kelly
Born: July 24, 1965 in Irvine, North Ayrshire
Best Known For: At Home with the Braithwaites.
Early-life: Born July 24, 1965 in Irvine, North Ayrshire. Her father, John, a singer, left when she was a child. At the age of eight, writer/broadcaster David Webster became her stepfather. Her mother, Betty Gillin, who was also an actress, died of lung cancer, aged 50, when her daughter was 18. Julie made her TV debut in a 1986 episode of Taggart. It was the role of Alison McGrellis in Casualty in 1988 that helped boost her profile.
Career: Graham also starred in the TV series Harry and Life Support. However, she became a household name in comedy drama At Home with the Braithwaites. In 2003 she starred in Kay Mellor's steamy series Between the Sheets, and the same year appeared with Martin Clunes in the drama William and Mary (they were reunited years later when she made a guest appearance in Doc Martin). Her film credits include Silent Scream, Nuns on the Run, The Near Room, Preaching to the Perverted, Bedrooms and Hallways and Some Voices. She's also appeared in a revamp of cult 1970s series Survivors, The Bill, and was the best thing about short-lived BBC archaeological drama Bonekickers. More recently, Graham has enjoyed success with a starring role in ITV's period crime drama The Bletchley Circle and the BBC's Shetland.
Quote: 'Yes I've taken my clothes off and, yes, I've played saucy roles. But for god's sake it's not what I've built my career on. I try to find roles that are a little bit outside the box.'
