Each year, the Midsomer village of Angel's Rise hosts an annual psychic fayre in the vast and gothic Eddon Hall. Founded by the Saint-Stephens family in memory of their late daughter, the event attracts all manner of mediums, psychics and followers of the occult. When a body is found surrounded by ritual symbols on the eve of the gathering, Barnaby must step into a world of self-proclaimed witches to find the killer. Neil Dudgeon (Actor) .. DCI John Barnaby
Born: January 01, 1961 in Doncaster
Best Known For: Being the new Barnaby in Midsomer Murders.
Early-life: Born in Doncaster in 1961. His dad drove a bread delivery van and his mum was an assistant supermarket manager, although they both also performed on the club circuit. Neil credits his own love of acting to a teacher who forced him to read aloud in an assembly _ it was supposed to be a punishment for misbehaving in class, but Neil found he actually enjoyed it. He went to appear in school plays, before studying drama at Rada.
Career: Neil made his film debut in 1987 with an uncredited role in Prick Up Your Ears, and went on to appear in London's Burning on TV the following year. He's worked pretty steadily since then in a wide range of TV shows, although he admits he's most frequently cast as a cop _ he's starred in Inspector Morse, Out of the Blue, Between the Lines, Messiah and Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Silk Stocking. Last year it was announced that he would be taking on his most high-profile police role to date when he took over from John Nettles as the star of Midsomer Murders. He has also starred alongside Caroline Quentin in the sitcom Life of Riley.

Best Known For: The Royal Today, Heartbeat and Midsomer Murders.
Early-life: Fiona Jane Dolman was born in Findhorn, Moray, on January 1, 1970 to Rosemary and Gordon. She is the youngest daughter of four children. Her father worked in the RAF and he moved his family to Gibraltar when Fiona was 15. In 1993, she made her TV acting debut in Crime Story.
Career: Roles followed for Dolman on the small screen in Strike Force, A Touch of Frost, The Knock and Ultraviolet. In 1998, she joined the cast of Heartbeat playing Jackie Lambert. She went on to have a recurring role in The Royal Today. In 2011, she began playing Sarah Barnaby alongside Neil Dudgeon in Midsomer Murders.
Quote: On working with the Barnaby's dog on Midsomer Murders: "We have sausages strapped to bags and in pockets so the dog follows you around."
Trivia: At the age of 16 and 17 years, Dolman won awards at the Gibraltar RAF ladies windsurfing championships.
Annette Badland (Actor) .. Fleur Perkins
Born: August 26, 1950 in Birmingham
Best Known For: A string of TV, stage and films roles.
Early-life: Annette was born in Birmingham on August 26, 1950. She trained at the East 15 Acting School in London. In 1975, she made her TV debut as a tap dancing pupil in The Naked Civil Servant. Her next project was the film Jabberwocky (1977).
Career: During a long and prolific acting career, Badland has made appearances in a number of popular TV shows, including Shoestring, The Gentle Touch, Minder, Bergerac, All Creatures Great and Small, Making Out, Love Hurts, Outside Edge, and The Bill. Her film credits include The Grotesque (1995), Little Voice (1998), Beautiful People (1999) and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005). More recently, she has starred in Doctor Who, All the Small Things, You, Me & Them, Man Down, Father Brown, Wizards vs Aliens, and Outlander. In 2014, she joined the cast of EastEnders, playing Babe Smith.

Best Known For: His appearances in several James Bond movies.
Early-life: Born in Luton on December 6, 1962. Raised on a council estate, Salmon's education ended abruptly when he was expelled from his local sixth form college. He later began modelling before turning to acting, eventually making his TV debut in 1992 in the first sequel to Prime Suspect.
Career: Salmon worked steadily on the big and small screens with small roles in such projects as Lovejoy, Between the Lines, Soldier Soldier and All Men Are Mortal. A longer stint in Kay Mellor's 1997 TV series Gold made casting directors sit up and take notice. Later that year he played Charles Robinson for the first time in Tomorrow Never Dies - a part he reprised in The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day. Salmon has also appeared in Resident Evil, AVP: Alien vs Predator, Match Point and cult series Hex. Recent TV appearances include The Number One Ladies' Detective Agency, Sky One's Strike Back, and Arrow. In 2012, he partnered professional dancer Kristina Rihanoff on Strictly Come Dancing; they were eliminated in week five. He occasionally appears in Law & Order: UK as barrister Doug Green.

Janine Duvitski (Actor) .. Hattie Bainbridge
Best Known For: Waiting for God, One Foot in the Grave and Benidorm.
Early-life: Born Christine Janine Drzewicki in Morecambe in June 1952 to an English mother and a Polish father. She moved to London to train as an actor at the East 15 Acting School. Her first TV credit was an episode of Z Cars in 1972. After finishing her training and despite being in her early 20s, she landed the role of a 13-year-old girl in the 1975 BBC play Diane. Her big break came in 1977 when Mike Leigh cast her in his stage play Abigail's Party. She went on to play the same role in an abridged TV version for the BBC.
Career: Duvitski has worked steadily on TV in a number of shows, popping up in the likes of Citizen Smith, Minder, Cowboys, The New Statesman, Midsomer Murders, Foyle's War and Little Dorrit. Her face is better known to audiences as prudish assistant Jane in Waiting for God, Victor and Margaret's neighbour Pippa in One Foot in the Grave and swinger Jacqueline in Benidorm. She has also appeared on the big screen in Dracula (1979), Breaking Glass (1980) and The Madness of King George (1994).

Early-life: Born Holly Marie Willougby on February 10, 1981, in Brighton to the manager of a double-glazing company and an air hostess. She has an older sister. Holly studied at Burgess Hill School for Girls in West Sussex and then attended The College of Richard Collyer. At the age of 14 she was spotted by talent scouts at The Clothes Show Live exhibition, was snapped up by a modelling agency and appeared in magazines. She broke into TV in 2000 as one of the stars of S Club TV. She also helped pay the bills as a receptionist, a runner for Auction World TV and an assistant floor manager.
Career: Willoughby's big break came in 2004 when she returned to CITV as co-presenter of Ministry of Mayhem. The show was later renamed Holly & Stephen's Saturday Showdown. She has worked on TV series Feel the Fear, Stars in Their Eyes and CD: UK. She earned a prime-time slot as co-presenter of Dancing on Ice in 2006, the same year she won a Bafta for her work on children's TV. Other small screen duties have included Greased Lightnin', The Xtra Factor, Streetmate, Holly & Fearne Go Dating, Here Come the Boys and Celebrity Juice.
