Horticultural lecturer Rosemary Boxer is hired by a wealthy but ill businessman to help cure a disease causing his trees to lose their bark. She gets to know Laura Thyme, who turns up after a friend is killed in a suspicious car accident, and when the pair find the lord of the manor unconscious beneath his bedroom window, they must decide whether depression led him to attempt suicide or if there is a more sinister explanation. Felicity Kendal (Actor) .. Rosemary Boxer
Born: September 25, 1946 in Olton, Warwickshire
Best Known For: Playing Barbara in The Good Life.
Early-life: Felicity Ann Kendal was born on September 25, 1946, in Olton, Warwickshire. She made her stage debut at nine months. Her childhood was spent touring India acting in Shakespearean productions directed by her father Geoffrey and co-starring her mother, Laura Lidell. She attended 13 schools in quick succession. At 17 she came back to the UK to work in the West End, but returned to India to film Merchant Ivory movie Shakespeare Wallah, which was based on her family's experiences. Sister Jennifer, also an actress, died in 1984.
Career: Kendal made her TV debut in The Mayfly and the Frog in 1966, but concentrated on the theatre before becoming a household name in sitcom The Good Life, which attracted 18 million viewers at its peak. Kendal has appeared in the movie Valentino, sitcoms Solo and The Mistress, TV drama The Camomile Lawn, and provided a voice for Steven Spielberg's animated adventure, We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story. More recently she appeared in Michael Winner's comedy Parting Shots, light-hearted drama Rosemary and Thyme, and an episode of Doctor Who, though she prefers to work on stage. She gained a new set of fans by appearing on Strictly Come Dancing in 2010. In 2013, she won rave reviews for a London stage revival of Alan Ayckbourn's Relatively Speaking.

Trivia: Kendal was appointed a CBE in 1995.
Pam Ferris (Actor) .. Laura Thyme
Born: May 11, 1948 in Hanover, Germany
Best Known For: Her role as Florence ‘Ma' Larkin in The Darling Buds of May.
Early-life: Pamela Ann Ferris was born on May 11, 1948 in Hanover, Germany, to Welsh parents Ann and Fred, who were stationed there while her father served in the Royal Air Force. Ferris spent her childhood in the Llanelli area of Wales, after her father became a police officer, with her mother working in her family's bakery business. Pam's family emigrated to New Zealand when she was 13, but she returned to the UK in her early twenties.
Career: Ferris first made an impact in the 1985 drama series Connie. Other than The Darling Buds of May, she has also appeared in TV shows Hardwicke House, Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit, Paradise Heights, Where the Heart Is, Rosemary & Thyme, Gavin & Stacey and Grandma's House. A "Jill of all trades", Pam has appeared in a number of Royal Court Theatre and Royal National Theatre productions, and in films like Matilda, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Children of Men, Nativity!, Telstar, and Malice in Wonderland. In 2012, she began playing Sister Evangelina in Call the Midwife.
