Best Known For: Playing a sex-mad beastie in Species.
Early-life: Natasha Tonya Henstridge was born in Springdale, Newfoundland, Canada, on August 15th, 1974. She is the daughter of Helen, a homemaker, and Brian, a construction manager and business owner. At the age of 13, she entered a modelling agency's competition and was the runner-up. A year later, she went to Paris to pursue her modelling ambitions.
Career: The 1995 release Species was Henstridge's first film and made her an overnight star. Although she also featured in the dire sequel, the actress persevered with a few independent releases, including Bela Donna and Dog Park. She dipped a toe into the sci-fi genre again with the 2001 movie Ghosts of Mars and a third Species movie. Box-office success came with the black comedy The Whole Nine Yards, which also had a sequel. She turned her attention to the small screen, landing a role in the drama Commander in Chief, opposite Geena Davis. Her recent work includes the TV miniseries Would Be Kings and the films Deception, Anytown, Let the Game Begin, You Lucky Dog and The Devil's Teardrop.
