Early-life:
Born in Wimbledon in 1969. She trained as an actress but after a spell of unemployment, she began dog-walking to earn some extra cash. That led to a chance meeting with canine trainer Ken Cochrane. She started training dogs as a hobby in the early 1990s, making a living as a voiceover artist and in theatre roles.
Career:
In 1999, she moved to Manhattan and co-founded Dog Trainers of New York, working to educate families and children on safe dog-handling. Now lives in Atlanta, Georgia. After watching Supernanny, she thought she could host a similiar series focusing on dogs. She contacted TV producers, who were so impressed they snapped her up as presenter of It's Me or the Dog. The show is a hit worldwide, showing in more than 20 countries.
