Kelsey Grammer (Actor) .. Congressman
Born: February 21, 1955 in St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands
Best Known For: Playing Dr Frasier Crane.
Early-life: Born Allen Kelsey Grammer on February 21, 1955, in St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. His parents split up when he was two, and he was raised by his mother in New Jersey and Florida. He turned to acting after reading Shakespeare as a boy. Grammer has suffered several family tragedies - his father was shot dead in 1968, his sister was murdered in 1975, and in 1980 his two half-brothers died in a scuba-diving accident.
Career: Determined to become a serious actor, Grammer spent two years at New York's Juilliard School. He then worked in theatre before making his TV debut in 1983 miniseries Kennedy. He had a stint in soap Another World, and in 1984 began playing Dr Frasier Crane in Cheers. After Cheers ended in 1993, he launched the hugely popular spin-off series Frasier. In addition to starring in 264 editions of the sitcom, he directed more than 30 episodes. Grammer has also starred in X-Men: The Last Stand, short-lived sitcoms Back to You and Hank, and the dramas Boss and Partners. He is also the voice of Sideshow Bob in The Simpsons.

Anna Friel (Actor) .. Grace Gordon
Born: July 12, 1976 in Rochdale
Best Known For: That kiss in Brookside.
Early-life: Born Anna Louise Friel on July 12, 1976, in Rochdale, Lancashire, the daughter of two teachers. Her brother was the boy pushing a bike up a hill in the famous Hovis advert. As a youngster Friel was regarded as a rebel for flouting school uniform rules. She was ambitious from an early age and originally wanted to be a barrister until she joined the Oldham Theatre Workshop. She appeared in eight of their productions in theatres around the country.
Career: Friel made her TV debut in Alan Bleasdale's classic 1991 drama GBH, following it up with appearances in Emmerdale and Medics. She became a household name playing Beth in Brookside. Her first film, The Land Girls, was released in 1998. She turned down a US sitcom in 1999, preferring instead to make Rogue Trader and Mad Cows. Projects since have included award-winning play Closer and movies Sunset Strip, The War Bride, Me Without You, Goal! and its sequel. Her US TV comedy drama Pushing Daisies ran for two seasons. In 2009, she played the lead role in a West End adaptation of Truman Capote's novella Breakfast at Tiffany's. Since then she has starred in the films London Boulevard and You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, as well as various high-profile TV roles.

Sean Astin (Actor) .. George
Born: February 25, 1971 in Santa Monica, California
Best Known For: Playing Sam in The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Early-life: Sean Patrick Duke was born in Santa Monica, California on February 25, 1971. He's the son of actress Patty Duke and her second husband Michael Tell, although he didn't know Tell was his biological father until a blood test proved it in 1990. Tell and Duke's marriage was annulled after just one month and Sean was adopted at the age of three by Addams Family star John Astin. Sean has four half-brothers, one of whom, Mackenzie, is also an actor. After leaving school he gained a degree in history and English from the University of California.
Career: At the age of nine, Sean made his acting debut opposite his mother in TV movie Please Don't Hit Me Mom. Other early roles include The Goonies, Like Father Like Son and The War of the Roses. More mature parts came in the 1990s in Memphis Belle, Bulworth and Courage Under Fire, but didn't become a famous name until The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring was released in 2001; he starred in the trilogy's second and third films too. He's worked almost non-stop since; his CV includes 50 First Dates, 24, Click, Forever Strong and The Witches of Oz. He's also in demand for voiceover work and has branched out into directing.
