Steven Seagal (Actor) .. Casey Ryback
Born: April 10, 1951 in Lansing, Michigan
Best Known For: Under Siege.
Early-life: Steven Frederic Seagal was born on April 10, 1952, in Lansing, Michigan. He's the son of a medical technician and a maths teacher. He began studying karate at a young age, later moving on to aikido. He moved to Japan to further his martial arts training in the early 1970s. He was instructing wealthy clients in Los Angeles when he came to the attention of Michael Ovitz, one of the most powerful men in Hollywood. Ovitz thought he would be perfect as the next big action star and kick-started Seagal's movie career.
Career: Seagal worked as a martial arts supervisor on several films before making his leading man debut in 1988's Nico, aka Above the Law, and followed it up with a string of relatively low-budget action thrillers, including Hard to Kill, Marked for Death and Out for Justice. In 1992, Under Siege became one of his biggest hits, and gave him enough authority to star in and direct 1994 thriller, On Deadly Ground. Despite being savaged by the critics, he pressed on with Under Siege 2, Executive Decision, The Glimmer Man, The Patriot, Exit Wounds and Half Past Dead. An accomplished musician, he's a member of the band Thunderbox and can be seen in reality show Steven Seagal: Lawman as a real-life deputy sheriff. After a number of direct-to-video releases, he returned to the big screen in 2010 with the film Machete.

Born: November 24, 1978 in Washington, DC
Best Known For: Playing Izzie in Grey's Anatomy.
Early-life: Katherine Marie Heigl was born in Washington, DC, on November 24, 1978, to parents Paul, an accountant, and Nancy, a personnel manager. Shortly after her birth, the family moved to New Canaan, Connecticut, where she grew up with her three siblings, John, Leigh and Jason. When she was nine, a visiting aunt took some photos of Katherine, or Katie, as she is known to her family. The pictures were sent to a modelling agency, who were impressed enough to sign her up.
Career: After appearing in various magazine and TV commercials, Heigl made her screen debut in 1992 film That Night. The acting bug bit, and only two years later she was cast in My Father the Hero, alongside French icon Gerard Depardieu. More roles followed, including Under Siege 2: Dark Territory, Disney drama Wish Upon a Star, and horror flick Valentine. She's since been busy with both films, TV and modelling work, with her most notable achievements coming thanks to being cast as Isabel Evans in sci-fi series Roswell in 1999, before winning the part of Dr Izzie Stevens in top-rated medical drama Grey's Anatomy. She's since enjoyed movie success with Knocked Up and 27 Dresses.
Quote: "I pride myself on being kind. But that's not to say there aren't moments when I'm a diva. Everybody has bad moments."
Trivia: She played the cello in high school.
