Season 4, Episode 3

The Napoleonic War is entering its final stages and the French formulate a desperate plan to capture Wellington's spymaster Major General Ross. Sharpe is ordered by Wellington to accompany Colonel Brand, whose loyalty is questioned by both Wellington and Ross, as he intends to destroy the French main powder supply in the caves of Rocha. Meanwhile, Sharpe's wife is showing signs of being bored with military life and enjoys the attentions of a young poet. Sean Bean stars, with Daragh O'Malley, Mark Strong and Abigail Cruttenden

Sean Bean (Actor) .. Richard Sharpe
Born: April 17, 1959 in Sheffield
Best Known For: Blunt-talking soldier Sharpe.
Early-life: Born Shaun Mark Bean in Sheffield on April 17, 1959, the elder of two children. A fanatical Sheffield United supporter with "100% Blade" tattooed on his shoulder, he left school at 16 with two O-Levels. His first job was working for his father's welding firm, and while he was doing a day-release course at college he stumbled on an acting class. He was later accepted into Rada and made his professional stage debut in 1983 as Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet, at the Watermill Theatre, Newbury.
Career: Sean worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company before making his TV debut in a 1984 episode of The Bill. Roles in The Fifteen Streets, Stormy Monday and Patriot Games followed before Lady Chatterley and the first Sharpe TV movies made him a household name in 1993. Other work includes A Woman's Guide to Adultery, Bravo Two Zero, GoldenEye, Ronin, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Equilibrium, Troy, National Treasure and HBO TV series Game of Thrones. He is one of Hollywood's most sought-after character actors and always has a number of productions in the pipeline.

Born: August 05, 1963 in London
Best Known For: Being a prolific character actor.
Early-life: Born Marco Giuseppe Salussolia in London on August 5, 1963, Mark is the son of an Austrian mother and an Italian father. His father left home soon after his birth and he was raised by his mother. She had has name changed by deed poll when he was young. He studied in Munich with the intention of becoming a lawyer but after a year, he returned to London to study English and drama at Royal Holloway, University of London. He went on to develop his acting craft at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
Career: Strong made his TV debut in a 1989 episode of After Henry and followed this up with a number of guest roles in the likes of The Bill, Inspector Morse, Prime Suspect 3 and Kavanagh QC. In 1996, he had a starring role in acclaimed BBC miniseries Our Friends in the North. Since then he has appeared in dozens of TV shows and featured in a number of films, including Revolver (2005), Syriana (2005), RocknRolla (2008), Kick-Ass (2010), Robin Hood (2010), Green Lantern (2011), Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011), John Carter (2012) and Zero Dark Thirty (2012). In 2013, Strong played a detective in short-lived AMC crime drama Low Winter Sun, reprising the lead role he played in the original 2006 British miniseries.

Trivia: Away from acting, Strong is heavily in demand as a narrator.
