Early-life: Julianna Luisa Margulies was born on June 8, 1966, in Spring Valley, New York. She's the youngest of three daughters. Her father works in advertising, her mother is a former ballerina. The family moved around a lot while she was growing up, and lived in France and England before settling in New Hampshire, where she attended high school. She appeared in various plays while studying at the prestigious Sarah Lawrence College, later working as a waitress to make ends meet before landing acting roles.
Career: Margulies' first movie was 1991's Out for Justice. She went on to appear in regional theatre, cropping up occasionally in such TV shows as Law & Order, and Murder, She Wrote. Her big break came in 1994 when she began playing nurse Carol Hathaway in ER. Thanks to her popularity, she was offered a $27million contract to stay with the show, but quit in 2000 to concentrate on theatre roles. Margulies then appeared in the movies Evelyn and Ghost Ship before returning to the small screen in several episodes of The Sopranos, The Lost Room and Canterbury's Law. She's currently the star of legal drama The Good Wife, for which she won a Golden Globe in 2010.

Best Known For: X-Men 2 and numerous stage roles.
Early-life: Alan Cumming was born in Aberfeldy, Perthshire, on January 27, 1965, to Alex and Mary. His father worked as a forester on the Atholl Estate before the entire family, including Alan's elder brother Tom, moved to the east coast of Scotland in 1969. He developed his passion for drama at school and, after taking part in amateur plays, joined the Carnoustie Theatre Club and Musical Society. Between leaving school and beginning a three-year course at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, he worked at a publishers on the magazine Tops.
Career: Cumming's cabaret act, Victor and Barry, with Forbes Masson, was critically acclaimed, winning numerous awards. TV roles quickly followed, but he continued working on the stage. Stints with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Royal National Theatre raised his profile, as did his accolades following his film debut in the drama Prague (1992). In 1994, he starred in TV sitcom The High Life, closely followed by the movies Circle of Friends (1995), GoldenEye (1995) and Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion (1997). More recently, he has worked on three Spy Kids films (2001-2003), X-Men 2 (2003), The Tempest (2010), Burlesque (2010) and TV drama The Good Wife. A firm favourite on Broadway, Cumming won a Tony Award in 1998 for playing the MC in Caberet. He returned to the role in 2014.

Best Known For: The Good Wife.
Early-life: Archana Kaur Punjabi was born on May 31, 1972, in London to a Punjabi Sikh family from what is now Pakistan. She graduated from Brunel University in West London in 1996, with a degree in Management Studies. Archie always knew she wanted to become an actress. It was only when Nick Berry from EastEnders replied to her letter asking for advice that she started trying to find an agent. Her first casting call was for EastEnders - to play Ricky Butcher's girlfriend. She was recalled but never got the part.
Career: Archie landed a supporting role in the 1999 comedy film East is East, and followed it up with several small TV roles, as well as the smash comedy flick Bend it Like Beckham. Her first Hollywood role was in 2005 as a British diplomat in the Oscar-winning The Constant Gardener in 2005. In the same year she won the Shooting Star Award for her role as the title character in Yasmin at the Berlin Film Festival, and in 2007, she appeared with Angelina Jolie in the movie adaptation of A Mighty Heart. Her performance earned her The Chopard Trophy for a Breakout Performance at the Cannes Film Festival. She joined the cast of critically-acclaimed legal drama The Good Wife in 2009.

Best Known For: Home and Away.
Early-life: Melissa Suzanne George was born on August 6, 1976, in Perth, Western Australia. Her mother is a nurse, her father a construction worker. She is the second of their four children. As a child she had jazz, tap ballet and modern dance training, but really excelled at artistic roller skating - she was an Australian national roller skating champion, and won a silver medal at the Junior World Championship in 1991.
Career: George also modelled during her teens, which led her to be cast as Angel in Aussie soap Home and Away. After leaving in 1996, she appeared in fantasy series Roar alongside Heath Ledger and relocated to LA. She had small roles in Dark City, The Limey, Mulholland Drive, Charmed and Down with Love before having a regular stint in Alias. Her first starring role in a movie was in the Amityville Horror remake. Since then George has starred in a variety of TV and film projects, including 30 Days of Night, In Treatment, Triangle, The Slap and Lie to Me

America Ferrera (Actor) .. Natalie Flores
Born: April 18, 1984 in Los Angeles
Best Known For: Ugly Betty.
Early-life: America Georgina Ferrera was born in Los Angeles on April 18, 1984. She's the youngest of six children, and was brought up by her Honduran mother after her parents split. America began appearing in school plays and community theatre productions at the age of eight. Although she made her film debut at the age of 18 playing an overweight teenager in the 2002 drama Real Women Have Curves, her mum was keen for her to continue her education, and America combined acting with studying for a degree in International Relations and Theatre at the University of Southern California.
Career: Ferrera followed her appearance in Real Women Have Curves with roles in TV series including Touched By An Angel and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. She also starred in the movies The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants (2005), Lords of Dogtown (2005) and Steel City (2006), but only became a household name after she was approached by Salma Hayek to take the lead role in Ugly Betty, the US remake of a successful Colombian soap opera. The series was popular on both sides of the Atlantic and ran for four series. Since Ugly Betty ended, she has appeared in The Good Wife, and in November 2011, she made her London stage debut playing Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago in the West End. She voices the character Astrid in the How to Train Your Dragon movies.
