Career: Diesel found getting acting jobs difficult until his mother gave him a book about making low-budget films. That led him to write, direct and star in short film Multi-Facial in 1994, which was well-received at the Cannes Film Festival. His first feature film, Strays, wasn't as well appraised, but Steven Spielberg was impressed enough to cast him in Saving Private Ryan. Diesel went on to voice The Iron Giant before tackling his first lead role in 2000's modest sci-fi hit Pitch Black. That made casting directors take notice, and he has since appeared in such blockbusters as The Fast and the Furious and xXx, as well as their sequels. Other films include The Pacifier, Find Me Guilty and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Career: Dench made her professional debut with the Old Vic Company before joining the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1961, and has frequently worked on stage ever since. She became a household name in the 1980s thanks to sitcom A Fine Romance, for which she won a Bafta. She's also won the award for Four in the Morning, Talking to a Stranger, Iris, The Last of the Blonde Bombshells, Shakespeare In Love (for which she picked up an Oscar too), A Handful of Dust, Mrs Brown and A Room With a View. Career: After making the switch to Los Angeles, Davalos landed guest parts in Undeclared and Angel. Her breakthrough role came in 2004 when she was cast as Kyra in The Chronicles of Riddick. A role in short-lived TV drama Reunion followed before she had more success in TV movie Surrender, Dorothy. Since then, she has appeared in such feature films as Feast of Love (2007), Defiance (2008) and Clash of Titans (2010). She also appeared in TV series Mob City as Jasmine Fontaine in 2013. Since 2015, she has starred in dystopian TV series The Man in the High Castle as Juliana Crain.
