Early-life:
Thomas William Selleck was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 29, 1945 to Martha and Robert. His family moved to Sherman Oaks, California during his childhood. A talented athlete, Tom attended the University of Southern California on a basketball scholarship. He went on to study acting at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and was serving as a soldier in the California National Guard when he was activated for the Watts riots in Los Angeles in 1965.
Career:
Selleck won small parts in films and TV shows during the 1970s until his big break came in 1979 when he was cast in the lead role in detective series Magnum, PI. The popular series earned him an Emmy and a Golden Globe and it ran for eight seasons, clocking up 162 editions. He went on to star alongside Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg in the box-office smash Three Men and a Baby (1987), had a recurring role in the sitcom Friends during the 1990s and since 2005, he has played lawman Jesse Stone in a series of TV movies based on novels by Robert B Parker. Since 2010, he has played Frank Reagan in police drama Blue Bloods.

Donald Edmond Wahlberg Jr was born on August 17, 1969, in Boston, Massachusetts, and grew up with his eight siblings in the city's tough Dorchester area. His youngest brother is Mark Wahlberg, once known as rapper Marky Mark who, with his Funky Bunch, had hit records before he turned to modelling and acting. Donnie was friends with various local boys, including Danny Wood and Jordan Knight, who later became members of his band New Kids on the Block.
Career:
Wahlberg's interest in black music and his ability to rap became an integral part of the group's success. Their second album, 1988's Hanging Tough, established them as a major act. Wahlberg also began writing and producing for other artists, including his brother. The band's split in 1994 prompted him to turn to acting. His first role came in Mel Gibson blockbuster Ransom. He then appeared in a TV remake of The Taking of Pelham One Two Three, and Southie, which he also executive produced. His breakthrough came in a small, yet moving, role in The Sixth Sense. Since then he's turned to TV, starring in Band of Brothers and Boomtown. He has played a lead role in American drama Blue Bloods since 2010.

Born Kathryn Bridget Moynahan in Binghamton, New York on April 28, 1970 to Mary and Edward. She has two brothers, Andy and Sean. Her family moved to Massachusetts when she was seven. After leaving school, she pursued a modelling career and began appearing in department store catalogues.
Career:
Moynahan moved to New York when she was 18 and featured in magazines such as Vogue and Elle. They led to her doing soap and shampoo commercials. She went on to study acting at the Caymichael Patten Studio in New York and her TV debut in an episode of Sex and the City turned into a recurring role. She made her film debut in Coyote Ugly (2000). Roles followed in Serendipity (2001), The Sum of All Fears (2002), I, Robot (2004), Lord of War (2005) and Battle: Los Angeles (2011). On the small screen, Moynahan has been starring alongside Tom Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg in police drama Blue Bloods since 2010.
