After her father's disappearance, kickboxing heiress Lara Croft makes money as a bike courier and refuses to claim her inheritance, convinced her dad is still alive. But when she learns the country estate could be sold off unless she claims it, Lara reluctantly agrees - and finds a pre-recorded message from her father giving clues to his possible whereabouts. Determined to find him, she sets out across the sea to Hong Kong - but soon crosses paths with a small army of mercenaries determined to break into a supposedly haunted tomb. Action adventure based on the video game, starring Alicia Vikander, Dominic West, Walton Goggins and Kristin Scott Thomas

Early-life: Alicia Amanda Vikander was born in Gothenburg, Sweden on October 3, 1988 to stage actor Maria Fahl Vikander and psychiatrist Svante Vikander. Her parents separated when she was two months old. When she was seven years of age, she started her acting career with parts in minor stage productions at The Goteborg Opera. Alicia trained as a ballet dancer at the Royal Swedish Ballet School in Stockholm and the School of American Ballet in New York but chose to pursue acting instead.
Career: Vikander's professional acting career began with appearances in Swedish short films and TV series. She first gained recognition across Northern Europe for playing Josefin Bjorn-Tegebrandt in TV drama Second Avenue. Her feature film debut was in Pure (2009) and she went on to appear in Anna Karenina (2012), A Royal Affair (2012), The Fifth Estate (2013) and others. She received global recognition following her performances in Testament of Youth (2014) and Ex Machina (2014). Her performance in The Danish Girl (2015) earned her the Academy Award and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Dominic West (Actor) .. Richard Croft
Born: October 15, 1969 in Sheffield
Best Known For: Playing McNulty in The Wire.
Early-life: Dominic Gerard Fe West was born on October 15, 1969, in Sheffield. He's of Irish descent but grew up in a village just outside the South Yorkshire city. His father, George, owned a plastics factory. His mother, Moya, was a housewife. West is the youngest of six children and was educated at Eton, where he was encouraged to take up acting as a career. After leaving school, he spent several months as a cattle-herder in Argentina before gaining an English Literature degree from Trinity College, Dublin.
Career: West enjoyed early success on the stage, and appeared in several movies, including Spice World and Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace before taking a break to join the acrobatic Argentinean circus De La Guarda. He then had a supporting role in Chicago before landing the part of drunken but lovable detective McNulty in hugely acclaimed TV series The Wire. West has also appeared in 300, Hannibal Rising and The Devil's Whore. In 2011 he received critical acclaim for his roles as TV news anchor Hector Madden in the 1950s-set BBC drama The Hour and serial killer Fred West in ITV1 drama Appropriate Adult. He also continues to appear on stage, most notably in his native Sheffield.

Walton Goggins (Actor) .. Mathias Vogel
Born: November 10, 1971 in Birmingham, Alabama
Best Known For: The Shield and Justified.
Early-life: Born in Alabama on November 10, 1971, but raised in Lithia Springs, Georgia, Walton Sanders Goggins Jr was interested in performing from an early age. When he was 10, he and his mother were the Georgia State champion Cloggers, otherwise known as Mountain Dancing. Young Walton and his mum also opened for BB King at the Atlanta Fulton County Prison when he was on tour in the area.
Career: Goggins' first acting role was in a 1989 episode of In the Heat of the Night. That was closely followed by roles in TV film Murder in Mississippi, Beverly Hills 90210, Renegade and JAG. He's since appeared in Shanghai Noon, The Bourne Identity, and House of 1000 Corpses. Many people may recognise him from his part in The World's Fastest Indian, but it's for co-starring in gritty crime drama The Shield that he remains best known. He has starred in American drama Justified since 2010. His recent big-screen credits include Cowboys & Aliens, Straw Dogs, Lincoln, Django Unchained and GI Joe: Retaliation.

Best Known For: Four Weddings and a Funeral, and The English Patient.
Early-life: Born in Redruth, Cornwall, on May 24, 1960, Kristin is the elder sister of actress Serena Scott Thomas. On leaving school, Kristin moved to London and worked in a department store. At the age of 19 she went to Paris to work as an au pair. She went on to study acting at the Ecole nationale superieure des arts et techniques du theatre in Paris. After graduating at the age of 25, she was cast opposite Prince in Under the Cherry Moon (1986).
Career: Her big break came when she was cast in A Handful of Dust (1988), a role that won her an Evening Standard British Film Award for most promising newcomer. She went on to star in Bitter Moon (1992), Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994), Mission: Impossible (1996), The English Patient (1996), The Horse Whisperer (1998), Random Hearts (1999), Gosford Park (2001), The Golden Compass (2007) and The Other Boleyn Girl (2008). Best Known For: His work with old pal Simon Pegg.
Early-life: Nicholas John Frost was born in Romford on March 28th, 1972. He left school at the age of 15 and by his own admission 'kicked around for a couple of years', before moving to Israel. He returned to the UK 16 months later, and got a temporary job as a waiter. Five years later, he met Simon Pegg, who eventually moved in as his flatmate. Nick used to make his chum laugh in the pub with the character Mike, which Pegg asked his friend to do on the new show he was writing, Spaced.
Career: Frost's starring role in Spaced led to other roles, most notably a one-off episode of Acorn Antiques. In 2002, Frost presented the show Danger! 50,000 Volts! as well as co-writing and starring in the radio comedy Sofa of Time. Two years later, Frost and Pegg teamed up for the smash 'rom-zom-com' Shaun of the Dead (2004). Their next big-screen foray, Hot Fuzz (2007), went down equally well with audiences. The third film in their trilogy, The World's End, was released in 2013. Frost has also starred in TV comedies Hyperdrive and Mr Sloane, and the films Penelope (2006), Paul (2011), Attack the Block (2011) and Cuban Fury (2014).
