Geena Davis (Actor) .. Eleanor Little
Born: January 21, 1956 in Wareham, Massachusetts
Best Known For: Being half of Thelma and Louise.
Early-life: Born Virginia Elizabeth Davis on January 21, 1956, in Massachusetts, USA. She has a brother called Dan; their mother was a teacher's assistant, their father a civil engineer and church deacon. Geena caught the acting bug at a young age, but was also a talented musician - she plays the flute, piano and organ. She spent time as an exchange student in Sweden before graduating from Boston University with a degree in drama in 1979.
Career: Davis relocated to New York and worked as a sales assistant, waitress and model before landing a small role in Tootsie. More TV and film roles followed, but it was 1986's remake of The Fly that put her on the map. Beetlejuice helped her career no end too, and she won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for 1988's The Accidental Tourist. Since then she's starred in Quick Change, Thelma and Louise, A League of Their Own, Speechless, Accidental Hero, The Long Kiss Goodnight and the Stuart Little movies. Davis has also appeared regularly on TV in the series Commander in Chief and Coma.
Quote: 'I have an elbow that bends the wrong way. I'd do things like stand in an elevator and the doors would close, and I'd pretend that my arm had got caught in it.'
Trivia: Away from acting, she's a skilled archer and has even tried out for America's Olympic archery team.
Hugh Laurie (Actor) .. Fredrick Little
Born: June 11, 1959 in Oxford
Best Known For: His double-act with Stephen Fry
Early-life: Born James Hugh Calum Laurie on June 11, 1959, in Oxford, the youngest of a doctor's four children; his father was also a gold medal-winning rower at the 1948 Olympics. After attending Eton, Hugh followed him into the sport, competing for England and in the Boat Race while at Cambridge, where he studied archaeology and anthropology. While president of the university's Footlights entertainment group, he met Stephen Fry. After touring Australia with their revue The Cellar Tapes, they teamed up professionally.
Career: Fry and Laurie's stage success led to the TV sketch show Alfresco, which also featured Emma Thompson, Ben Elton and Robbie Coltrane. In 1987, Elton cast him in sitcom Blackadder the Third as amiable idiot George. A Bit of Fry and Laurie, and Jeeves and Wooster cemented his reputation as one of the UK's brightest comedy talents. He appeared with several celebrity pals in the movies Peter's Friends, Maybe Baby, and Sense and Sensibility. Other projects include 101 Dalmatians, The Man in the Iron Mask, Stuart Little and its sequel, the Flight of the Phoenix remake and TV series Fortysomething. His novel, The Gun Seller, was also a hit. His award-winning role in House turned him into an international star. Since it ended in 2012, Laurie has largely concentrated on music.
Quote: On his status as a sex symbol: 'Even my wife doesn't think I'm sexy, it's a miracle we have children.'
Trivia: Laurie has three children, loves motorbikes, is an atheist and has battled depression.

Best Known For: Playing Marty McFly in the Back to the Future movies.
Early-life: Born Michael Andrew Fox on June 9, 1961, to parents William and Phyllis in Edmonton, Canada. Thanks to his father's work with the military, he and his four siblings moved several times during their childhood, eventually settling in Burnaby, British Columbia. His earliest ambition was to become a professional ice hockey player, but became interested in acting during his teens.
Career: Fox debuted as a professional actor at the age of 15 in the sitcom Leo and Me. At 18, he moved to Los Angeles and took several bit parts, eventually making his mark in the sitcom Family Ties. Despite the show's heavy schedule, he found time to star in films, including the first of the Back to the Future trilogy, Teen Wolf, The Secret of My Success, and Bright Lights, Big City. In 1989, the series came to an end, giving Michael time to devote to his movie career, but he returned to TV in 1996 for Spin City and has guest starred in Scrubs. Despite ill health caused by Parkinson's disease, he has continued to work, most notably providing the voice for Stuart Little and featuring on TV in Boston Legal, Rescue Me and The Good Wife.

Melanie Griffith (Actor) .. Margalo
Born: August 09, 1957 in New York
Best Known For: Working Girl.
Early-life: Melanie Griffith was born in New York on August 9, 1957 to model-turned-actress Tippi Hedren and advertising executive and sometime actor Peter Griffith. Her career began as a model at just nine months old and she later appeared as an extra in Smith! in 1969 and The Harrad Experiment in 1973. Melanie had few acting ambitions but after a modelling job led to her being cast in steamy thriller Night Moves, her career took off - albeit largely playing nymphet roles at first.
Career: After overcoming drink and drugs addictions, her second husband, actor Steven Bauer, encouraged her to take acting classes. Director Brian De Palma cast her in his 1984 murder-mystery Body Double and her sexy, funny performance won her rave reviews. Jonathan Demme was so impressed with her performance that he cast her in 1986's Something Wild without even auditioning her. Griffith's career skyrocketed when Mike Nichols gave her the title role in Working Girl in 1988, a box-office hit for which she received an Academy Award nomination as Best Actress and won the Golden Globe Award as Best Actress in a Comedy. Hits such as Pacific Heights (1990) and Shining Through (1992) followed, though her movie career has been in the doldrums for some time. Her 2003 Broadway debut in Chicago was, however, a huge success, and she continues to make guest appearances in TV dramas.
Quote: 'I don't think I'm beautiful. When I look in the mirror, I just see me - and I'm pretty used to me.'
Trivia: She supports the Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

Woods then proved he had a gift for comedy in 1991 offering The Hard Way, and gave stunning performances in Casino, Nixon and Contact. More recently, he has appeared in Shark, Coma and Ray Donovan.
