Joel Dommett (Host)
Jonathan Ross (Panellist)
Best Known For: His cheeky celebrity interviews.
Early-life: Jonathan Stephen Ross was born on November 17, 1960, in Camden, London. He is one of six children born to a lorry driver and his film extra wife (Martha Ross had a bit part in EastEnders for over 20 years). Jonathan appeared in TV ads as a child, but after completing a degree in modern European history at the University of London, he began his TV career as a researcher on such shows as Loose Talk and Soul Train.
Career: In 1987, Ross and his friend Alan Marke devised a format inspired by Late Night with David Letterman, and after struggling to find a suitable host, Ross stepped in. The resulting show, The Last Resort with Jonathan Ross, made him a star. Other major projects include his chat shows Friday Night with Jonathan Ross and The Jonathan Ross Show, and his stint as the reviewer of the BBC's Film programme. He's also a massive comic book fan; his first foray into the genre, Turf, was published in 2010. But he's also hit the headlines for various controversies over the years, including the notorious Sachsgate, which involved a prank call made by him and Russell Brand to actor Andrew Sachs in 2008.
Quote: "People like coming on my show because they know they'll have fun and they know I'm going to be respectful to them. I'm never, you know, mean-spirited."
Trivia: He's been married to screenwriter and author Jane Goldman since 1988. They have three children.
Davina McCall (Panellist)
Born: October 16, 1967 in London
Best Known For: Hosting Big Brother.
Early-life: Davina Lucy Pascale McCall was born in London on October 16, 1967, to Florence and Andrew. At the age of three, Davina went to live with her grandparents in Surrey after the break-up of her parents' marriage. She moved in with her father and his new wife in London when she was 13.
Career: Davina started out as a singer (her demo was produced by Eric Clapton) and worked for the Models One agency before securing a presenter's job on Ray Cokes' Most Wanted on MTV Europe. ITV's middle-of-the-night series God's Gift led to the higher profile Streetmate, Don't Try This at Home and Popstars: The Rivals, although she tasted failure with her sitcom Sam's Game, series He's Having a Baby, and her self-titled BBC chat show. She's also fronted Love on a Saturday Night and co-hosted both Sport Relief and Comic Relief. Big Brother remains her biggest hit (she quit after 11 series as host in 2010), but has another hit on her hands with The Million Pound Drop. In August 2013, she began presenting ITV's dancing reality series Stepping Out, and in January 2014 began co-hosting Channel 4 reality series The Jump alongside Alex Brooker. The following month she ran, swam and cycled her way across the UK for Sport Relief.
Quote: "I've been on telly for 20 years, and I've done some awful TV."
Trivia: Davina performed in a band at school called Foghorn. She has released several workout DVDs.
Mo Gilligan (Panellist)
Maya Jama (Panellist)
Katherine Ryan (Panellist)
Born: June 30, 1983 in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada
Best Known For: Being a comedian.
Early-life: Katherine was born in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, on June 30, 1983. During her childhood, Katherine and her two younger sisters spent most summers in Cork visiting their paternal grandparents. She went on to study city planning at university and ended up training waitresses at Hooters. In her spare time, she attended open mic comedy nights.
Career: Ryan moved to the UK to work for a fashion magazine and began finding stand-up work. She is now a regular guest on Mock the Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats and Never Mind the Buzzcocks. She has also starred in the sitcoms Campus, Episodes and Badults.
Quote: "In the UK, people will go out and see music and comedy every night of the week, but that just doesn't happen in Canada and America."
Trivia: Ryan has battled two bouts of skin cancer.
