Keanu Reeves (Actor) .. Johnny Mnemonic
Born: September 02, 1964 in Beirut, Lebanon
Best Known For: The Matrix.
Early-life: Keanu Charles Reeves, whose first name means "cool breeze over the mountains" in Hawaiian, was born in Beirut, Lebanon, on September 2, 1964. His mother, Patricia, was a showgirl; his father, Samuel Nowlin Reeves, was a geologist. After his parents' marriage dissolved, Keanu moved with his mother and younger sister Kim to New York City, then Toronto. He eventually dropped out of school to pursue an acting career.
Career: After a few stage gigs and a handful of made-for-TV movies, he scored a supporting role in the Rob Lowe hockey flick Youngblood (1986), which was filmed in Canada. His first popular success came in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure three years later. He then showed his range with more dramatic roles in My Own Private Idaho and Much Ado About Nothing. He truly hit the big time with action flick Speed and struck box-office gold again a few years later with the Wachowski siblings' cyber-adventure The Matrix and its sequels. Reeves' first film as director, Man of Tai Chi, was released in 2013.
Quote: "What would happen if you melted? You know, you never really hear this talked about much, but spontaneous combustion? It exists!"
Trivia: In 2005, Reeves received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Dolph Lundgren (Actor) .. Street Preacher
Born: November 03, 1957 in Stockholm, Sweden
Best Known For: Playing Ivan Drago in Rocky IV.
Early-life: Born Hans Lundgren in Stockholm on November 3, 1957, Dolph was the son of an engineer and a languages teacher. He was one of four children. In the 1970s, he studied chemistry at Washington State University and Clemson University in South Carolina, served his two-year national service in the Swedish Marine Corps and graduated with a degree in chemical engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. In 1982, he graduated with a master's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Sydney. In 1983, he was preparing to move to Boston to study at Massachusetts Institute of Technology when singer Grace Jones hired him as a bodyguard.
Career: Lundgren made the move into acting and had a bit part in the 007 adventure A View to a Kill in 1985, but it was Rocky IV the same year that made him a household name. Lundgren also played He-Man in the movie Masters of the Universe (1987) and was the first actor to play Marvel comics hero The Punisher on the big screen in 1989. Other notable projects include 1992 blockbuster Universal Soldier and Keanu Reeves' sci-fi flop Johnny Mnemonic (1995). He's spent the past few years making a string of low-budget action adventures, including The Peacekeeper (1997), Hidden Agenda (2001) and The Defender (2004), appeared in Sylvester Stallone's action flick The Expendables (2010) and its two sequels and returned to the Universal Soldier franchise for two sequels. In 2013, he began starring in American TV action drama SAF3.
Quote: "I was a movie star before having the chance to become an actor, so now I'm trying to backtrack."
Trivia: During his years of studying, Lundgren attained the rank of 2nd dan black belt in Kyokushin karate.
Ice-T (Actor) .. J-Bone
Born: February 16, 1958 in New Jersey
Best Known For: His music career.
Early-life: Born Tracy Marrow on February 16, 1958, in Newark, New Jersey. He called himself Ice-T in homage to Iceberg Slim, a pimp-turned-author who wrote hard-hitting novels about the criminal underworld. He grew up in the tough South Central neighbourhood of Los Angeles and began rapping while in his teens. After leaving high school, and following a spell in the US Army, he decided to concentrate on a music career. Several early singles failed to bring him international acclaim.
Career: In 1987, Ice-T was snapped up by a major record label who released his album Rhyme Pays and its 1988 follow-up Power, which were hugely successful. A year later, he released the book The Iceberg/Freedom of Speech... Just Watch What You Say, which focused on censorship in music. He continues to record albums, both as a solo artist and as part of rock group Body Count. His acting debut came in 1984's Breakin', but hits such as New Jack City, The Heist and 3,000 Miles to Graceland, as well as TV series Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, have made him a sought-after star.
Quote: "Los Angeles is a microcosm of the United States. If LA falls, the country falls."
Trivia: He hosts the Ice-T: Final Level podcast.
