Early-life:
Katherine Boyer Waterston was born on March 3, 1980 to former American model Lynn Louisa and Oscar-nominated American actor Sam in Westminster, London, while her parents were both working there. Her sister, Elisabeth, and half-brother, James, are both actors. Her brother, Graham, is a director. She attended the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.
Career:
Waterston's feature film debut was in Michael Clayton (2007). She then went on to have supporting roles in such films as Robot & Frank (2012), Being Flynn (2012) and The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Her (2013) before landing her leading role in Inherent Vice (2014). Since then, she has played Chrisann Brennan in Steve Jobs (2015) and starred in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016). Her acting career has also seen her appear on stage, such as in the original Off-Broadway production of Bachelorette and in the Classic Stage Company production of The Cherry Orchard.
