Early-life:
Sienna Rose Diana Miller was born in New York City on December 28, 1981, but moved to London at the age of one. She has a sister and two half-brothers. Her mother, Josephine, is South African and is a former model; her father, Edwin, is an American banker-turned-Chinese art dealer. Despite her parentage and birthplace, Sienna holds a British passport. She attended Francis Holland Junior School and Heathfield St Mary's School and later studied for a year at the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York.
Career:
Prior to her acting career, Miller worked as a photographic model for Coca-Cola, and Italian Vogue, and posed topless for the 2003 Pirelli calendar. Her career then rocketed when she signed a two-year deal with Pepe Jeans London. She made her film debut alongside Rupert Everett and Elle Macpherson in South Kensington. Then came Alfie, Layer Cake and her stage debut in a West End production of Shakespeare's As You Like It. Other work on the big screen includes roles in Stardust, The Edge of Love, and GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra; her performance as Tippi Hedren in TV drama The Girl was widely acclaimed.
