Early-life: Thomas Cruise Mapother IV was born in New York on July 3, 1962. His mother was a teacher, his father, whom Cruise later described as 'abusive', was an electrical engineer. He has three sisters. Cruise spent part of his childhood in Canada before returning to the US after his parents separated. While at high school, Tom caught the acting bug and abandoned his plans to enter the priesthood. At the age of 18, he returned to New York, where he landed his first film role in Endless Love.
Career: Within five years of his big-screen debut, Cruise was one of the hottest actors of his generation, having starred in the likes of Risky Business and Top Gun. The likes of Rain Man, The Color of Money, Interview with the Vampire and Days of Thunder followed. He has also turned his hand to producing and made the smart move of taking a share of several of his film's profits, making him one of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood. Early-life: Born on September 25, 1984 in Oxford. Annabelle spent much of her childhood in Portugal and attended Saint Dominic's International School. She appeared in a number of short films before moving to London to pursue an acting career in feature films. Annabelle did some advertisements in London and went to drama school.
Career: Wallis starred as Jane Seymour in the third series of The Tudors, taking over the role from Anita Briem. She also appeared in a dream sequence during the final series in 2010. Wallis then appeared in X-Men: First Class (2011) and W.E. (2011). She also played Bridget Pierce in the TV series Pan Am and later starred in Peaky Blinders as Grace. Wallis's other film credits include Annabelle (2014), King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (2017) and The Mummy (2017).

Early-life: Born in Algiers, Algeria on April 3, 1982 to jazz musician Safy Boutella and an architect mother. Sofia began learning classical dance when she was five and took up rhythmic gymnastics when she was 10, after moving to France with her family. She joined the French national rhythmic gymnastics team at 18. Later, Sofia took up hip hop and street dance and graduated from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, United States.
Career: Boutella has appeared in a number of films, advertisements and TV shows as a dancer. Her breakthrough came in 2007, when she was cast in a Nike Women's advertising campaign. After that, she got work performing on concert tours with artists like Madonna and Rihanna. She later moved in to acting and had a starring role as Eva in StreetDance 2 (2012). Since then, she has had major roles in such films as Monsters: Dark Continent (2014), Kingsman: The Secret Service (2015) and Star Trek Beyond (2016).

Early-life: Courtney Bernard Vance was born on March 12, 1960, in Detroit, Michigan. He attended the Detroit Country Day School and later graduated from Harvard with a bachelor of arts degree. He continued his education at the Yale School of Drama where he received a Master of Fine Arts degree, but during his college years also began working professionally at the Boston Shakespeare Company.
Career: After earning two Tony Award nominations, he launched what would become a long and varied screen career. A memorable turn as Doc Johnson in the Vietnam war film Hamburger Hill in 1987 helped him land roles in the acclaimed movie The Hunt for Red October and TV dramas thirtysomething and In the Line of Duty: Street War. Splitting his time between the stage and screen, he built up a loyal following of devoted fans. By the mid-1990s, job offers were rolling in. Other film credits include Dangerous Minds, The Preacher's Wife, Cookie's Fortune and Space Cowboys. In 2001 he joined the cast of the Law & Order sister series Criminal Intent, the show which made him a household name. Early-life: Russell Ira Crowe was born on April 7, 1964 in Wellington, New Zealand. He moved to Australia at the age of four. The son of movie caterers, Crowe was exposed to the film industry at an early age and made his professional debut at the age of six on the Australian kids' TV show Spyforce. He also appeared in The Young Doctors when he was 12, but later took a number of odd jobs including stints as a fruit-picker, horse-wrangler, bingo-caller and singer before returning to acting.
Career: A spell in musical theatre led to Crowe's first major big-screen role in 1990 film The Crossing, followed by Proof, for which he won an Australian Film Institute Award. A second gong came for the controversial Romper Stomper, prompting Sharon Stone to headhunt him for The Quick And The Dead in 1995.
