Steven Seagal (Actor) .. John Alexander
Born: April 10, 1951 in Lansing, Michigan
Best Known For: Under Siege.
Early-life: Steven Frederic Seagal was born on April 10, 1952, in Lansing, Michigan. He's the son of a medical technician and a maths teacher. He began studying karate at a young age, later moving on to aikido. He moved to Japan to further his martial arts training in the early 1970s. He was instructing wealthy clients in Los Angeles when he came to the attention of Michael Ovitz, one of the most powerful men in Hollywood. Ovitz thought he would be perfect as the next big action star and kick-started Seagal's movie career.
Career: Seagal worked as a martial arts supervisor on several films before making his leading man debut in 1988's Nico, aka Above the Law, and followed it up with a string of relatively low-budget action thrillers, including Hard to Kill, Marked for Death and Out for Justice. In 1992, Under Siege became one of his biggest hits, and gave him enough authority to star in and direct 1994 thriller, On Deadly Ground. Despite being savaged by the critics, he pressed on with Under Siege 2, Executive Decision, The Glimmer Man, The Patriot, Exit Wounds and Half Past Dead. An accomplished musician, he's a member of the band Thunderbox and can be seen in reality show Steven Seagal: Lawman as a real-life deputy sheriff. After a number of direct-to-video releases, he returned to the big screen in 2010 with the film Machete.

Born: January 05, 1965 in Watford
Best Known For: His footballing and movie careers
Early-life: Born Vincent Peter Jones on January 5, 1965, in Watford. His father was a gamekeeper. Vinnie's football career began in 1984 at non-league side Wealdstone, making ends meet as a hod carrier. He also spent a season with Swedish side IFK Holmsund before moving to Wimbledon, where he made his name, for a £10,000 fee. He was part of the 'Crazy Gang' team that beat Liverpool to win the FA Cup in 1988. He subsequently played for Leeds United, Sheffield United and Chelsea, before moving back to Wimbledon in 1992. He also represented Wales, qualifying via a Welsh grandparent.
Career: Jones was infamous for his brutal hard-man image. He was sent off 12 times in his career, and holds the record for the quickest booking, having been cautioned after only three seconds of play. After spending time at QPR as player/coach, he was in line to become the club's manager, but instead retired from football and moved into acting. His first role came in the British gangster flick Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels in 1998, and the intensity of his performance wowed critics. He followed it up with Gone in 60 Seconds, Swordfish and X-Men: The Last Stand. Jones' more recent films haven't been as high profile, but he has had decent roles on TV in Elementary, The Musketeers and Arrow.
Quote: 'I've always felt that people put me down, and I'd fight back. I played football for 15 years, and nobody gave me any credit, and they never will do.'
Trivia: Jones released an album in 2002. In 2010, he was the favourite to win Celebrity Big Brother, but was beaten by Alex Reid.
