Chasing Ghosts
Season 1, Episode 9

The recovery of a stolen gun leads the team to reinvestigate the death 40 years previously of Jacob Tarlow, a Jewish officer who was involved in recruiting black Americans into the navy in the 1970s. Tarlow had been targeted by Ku Klux Klan members and was found hanged from a tree, but the death was ruled as suicide. The reappearance of the victim's sidearm is enough evidence to reopen the case and the team is led to Tom Hamilton, an ex-police officer who it is claimed was involved in the attack. Guest starring Dean Stockwell (Quantum Leap)

Born: October 09, 1954 in St Louis, Missouri
Best Known For: Quantum Leap.
Early-life: Scott Stewart Bakula was born in St Louis, Missouri on October 9, 1954. The white streak in his hair appeared when he was four, although how remains a mystery. Music influenced his early life, and as a teenager he formed a rock band and wrote several songs. He also sang with the St Louis Symphony before studying law at the University of Kansas. In 1976 he decided to concentrate on acting when he was hired for a production of Shenandoah.
Career: Bakula continued to work on stage before gaining TV roles on shows such as Designing Women, Gung-Ho and I-Man. His big break came in 1989 with TV movie Quantum Leap: Genesis. A hugely popular series based on the adventures of time-travelling scientist Sam Beckett followed. Since then, he's continued to work on TV, including a three-year stint in sitcom Murphy Brown, and in films such as American Beauty, The Colour Of Night and Sibling Rivalry. Theatre work includes a Tony-nominated role in the musical Romance/Romance. His stint as Captain Jonathan Archer in Enterprise, the prequel to the original Star Trek series, lasted for four seasons until it was axed in 2005. More recently, he has had a recurring role in Chuck, and starred in American comedy drama Men of a Certain Age, Behind the Candelabra, Looking and NCIS: New Orleans.

Career: Pounder's first professional work came in regional theatre, followed by several New York productions. She later moved to Hollywood, making her movie debut in 1979's All That Jazz.
