Born: February 21, 1976 in London
Best Known For: Coming from obscurity to being the biggest name in comedy seemingly overnight
Early-life: Born in 1976, in South London to a dancer and comedy writer Ray Cameron, McIntyre had a thoroughly middle-class upbringing that he describes as being entirely short of misery or material. Career: Hailed as the best new stand-up to emerge in a decade, Michael has taken the comedy world by storm. He delivered electrifying sets on both We Are Not Amused (Prince Charles's 60th birthday celebrations on ITV1) and the Royal Variety Performance (BBC One), plus a stand-out performance as host on the first episode of BBC One's Live at the Apollo, leading to the Comedy Roadshow vehicle.
Quote: "Don't Man City and Man United sound a bit like gay clubs? 'Where you off to tonight? Man City? We're off to Man United. And a bit later we're off to the MEN Arena.'"
Trivia: His debut DVD release, Michael McIntyre Live & Laughing, became the fastest selling debut stand-up DVD of all time, selling more than 600,000 copies.

Best Known For: Being a judge on Strictly Come Dancing.
Early-life: Born in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia, on January 4, 1965. He has four siblings. Their father was in the Australian navy, so the family moved around a lot. At the age of 17, he made ends meet by performing as a drag queen. He went on to become a dancer in Melbourne and appeared in a number of productions, including West Side Story, the Danny La Rue Show, La Cage Aux Folles and Ladies Night. He also featured in numerous TV commercials in Australia, notably for KFC, before moving to the UK to further his dance career in 1989.

As a choreographer, he has worked on West Side Story, Martin Guerre and Spend Spend Spend, and as a director on Sunset Boulevard, Chess, the live tour of Strictly Come Dancing, and the opening ceremony of the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester. He became a household name in 2004 after becoming a member of the judging panel on Strictly Come Dancing. He has a reputation for awarding the lowest marks of all the judges. Since 2009, he has been a regular on the pantomime circuit and in 2011 became a British citizen.
Quote: "When I'm watching something I'm professional about it. I'm not there to have a good time. I'm there to judge a competition."
Trivia: In 2009, he became a patron of the National Osteoporosis Society. He's had two lots of plastic surgery - one op on his nose, the second to get rid of 'manboobs'.

Born: October 29, 1974 in Eccles, Manchester
Best Known For: Captaining the England cricket team.
Early-life: Michael Paul Vaughan was born on October 29, 1974, in Eccles, Manchester. Two of his ancestors, Johnny and Ernest Tyldesley, played cricket for Lancashire and England. The family moved to Sheffield when Michael was nine, where he became hooked on playing football, and developed a lifelong love of Sheffield Wednesday. He became interested in cricket after being encouraged by his older brother, David, and watching their dad play for an amateur team.
Career: Vaughan caught the eye of Yorkshire coach Doug Padgett while playing for his school team. However, he had to wait for Yorkshire to alter their rules about only signing home-grown players before he could join the county. He went on to captain the England under-19 team, and made his full Test debut against South Africa in 1999. He became captain after Nasser Hussein quit in 2003. The team was hugely successful, winning the Ashes in 2005, but following a series defeat against South Africa in 2008, he resigned during an emotional press conference. Vaughan retired from first class cricket a year later. He is now a respected commentator. In 2012, he partnered professional dancer Natalie Lowe on Strictly Come Dancing.
Quote: "I'd have probably preferred to be a footballer if I could have been good enough. But my knees would never have lasted."
Trivia: Vaughan lives with his wife Nichola and three children, Tallula Grace, Archie Matthew, and Jemima.

Born: May 24, 1973 in Colchester
Best Known For: Presenting The X Factor and his show on Radio 2.
Early-life: Sean Dermot Fintan O'Leary Jr was born in Colchester, Essex, on May 24, 1973. While at school, he became a keen supporter of the Catholic aid agency Cafod. After graduation, he distributed approximately 200 CVs to production companies and received mostly rejection letters, which he has kept.

He also presents his own show on Radio 2 and, of course, ITV's The X Factor.
Quote: On being a Catholic: "I'm not interested in preaching from the rooftops. I was brought up with it and I still practise, but I don't think that my God is any more worthy than that of a friend of mine who happens to follow Allah."
Trivia: O'Leary has hosted a number of spin-off editions of Question Time aimed at first-time voters. He co-owns a restaurant in Brighton.
