Early-life: Born Edward Thomas Hardy in Hammersmith, London, on September 15, 1977, the only child of Anne and Edward. Tom studied acting at Richmond Drama School and Drama Centre, London. Winning a modelling competition at the age of 21 led to a contract with the agency Models One. He spent his teens and early twenties battling addictions to alcohol and drugs. Tom's first professional acting role was playing an army private in miniseries Band of Brothers.
Career: Hardy made his film debut in Black Hawk Down in 2001. A year later he starred in Star Trek: Nemesis and in 2003 he won the London Evening Standard Theatre Award for his performances in Blood and In Arabia We'd All Be Kings. He continued to make a name for himself on the small screen in The Virgin Queen, Meadowlands, Oliver Twist and The Take, and on the big screen in RocknRolla, Bronson, Inception, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, This Means War and Lawless. He delivered a standout performance as the villain Bane in The Dark Knight Rises, before scoring a critical hit with Locke in 2013. More recently he's taken the lead role in Mad Max: Fury Road, and played both Kray twins in Legend.

Early-life: Born on August 7, 1975, in Benoni, South Africa. She was named after her father, Charles, who died when she was 15 after her mother shot him in an act of self-defence. At 16, Theron won a one-year modelling contract and moved to Europe with her mother. She later trained as a ballerina, but a knee injury ended her dance career. She then decided to switch to acting, and moved to Los Angeles.
Career: An agent spotted Theron arguing with a bank clerk and signed her on the spot. After eight months of acting lessons she landed her first role, a non-speaking part in Children of the Corn III. A more significant role in 2 Days in the Valley followed. Tom Hanks cast her in That Thing You Do! in 1996, and she hasn't looked back, appearing in hits such as The Devil's Advocate, Mighty Joe Young, and Reindeer Games. In 2003, she starred in the remake of The Italian Job and critically acclaimed drama Monster; her performance in the latter won her an Oscar. She also starred in The Life and Death of Peter Sellers, Aeon Flux, Hancock, The Road, Young Adult, Snow White & the Huntsman and Prometheus.

Early-life: Nicholas Caradoc Hoult was born on December 7, 1989, in Wokingham, Berkshire. He was the son of Glenis, a piano teacher, and Roger Hoult, a pilot. He has a brother called James and sisters Rosie and Clarista. He is the great grandson of Dame Anna Neagle. He attended Ranelagh School in Bracknell, Berkshire.
Career: Hoult was talent-spotted at the age of three by a director struck by his concentration during a production of The Caucasian Chalk Circle, and landed his first film role aged five in Intimate Relations alongside Julie Walters and Rupert Graves. Then followed a steady, if not thunderous, stream of work in the likes of The Bill and Casualty, before he found himself as Hugh Grant's surrogate son in About a Boy. That led to high-profile roles in such critically acclaimed fare as Nicolas Cage movie The Weather Man and the Richard E Grant film Wah-Wah. Early-life: Zoe Isabella Kravitz was born in Los Angeles on December 1, 1988 to singer Lenny Kravitz and actor Lisa Bonet. When her parents divorced in 1993, Zoe lived with her mother in Topanga Canyon. She moved to Miami at the age of 11 to live with her father. In 2007, she began studying at the acting conservatory at the State University of New York at Purchase, but dropped out after a year and moved to Brooklyn to work in films. Her first acting role was playing a babysitter in the 2007 film No Reservations. In the same year, she played a teenage prostitute in The Brave One.
Career: More film roles followed for Kravitz, including Birds of America (2008), The Greatest (2009) and It's Kind of a Funny Story (2010). Early-life: Danielle Riley Keough was born on May 29, 1989 in Santa Monica, California, United States to singer-songwriter Lisa Marie Presley and musician Danny Keough. Her maternal grandparents are singer Elvis Presley and actress Priscilla Presley. As a teenager, Riley was a model. She appeared on the cover of Vogue alongside her mother and grandmother.
Career: Keough made her acting debut in 2010 as Marie Currie in The Runaways. Next, she played the female lead in The Good Doctor (2011), Jack in Jack & Diane (2012), Nora in Magic Mike (2012) and Young Amanda in Yellow (2012). After appearing in a number of short films and music videos, Keough joined the cast of Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). Next, she played the lead role in TV series The Girlfriend Experience. Early-life: Rosie Alice Huntington-Whiteley was born in Plymouth on April 18, 1987 to Fiona and Charles. She grew up on a farm near Tavistock in Devon. At the age of 15, she did some work experience at London-based model agency Profile. A year later, she appeared in her first modelling session for a Levi's jeans commercial.
Career: In 2004, Huntington-Whiteley did a shoot for Teen Vogue in New York and made her catwalk debut. Two years later, she began modelling for Victoria's Secret. Since then, Huntington-Whiteley has modelled for Burberry, appeared on the cover of British Vogue, and posed nude for a Pirelli Calendar. She made a move into acting by playing the female lead in Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011). Her next major acting role will be in Mad Max: Fury Road (2015).
