In October 1973, Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir initially refuses to act on intelligence that suggests Egypt and Syria intend to launch a co-ordinated military offensive against Israel. Eventually the attacks begin, catching Minister of Defence Moshe Dayan off guard. Meir refuses to accept his resignation and a weakened Dayan leads the Israeli response, which requires Meir to request air support from US Secretary of State, Henry Kissinger. Biopic, starring Helen Mirren, Zed Josef and Liev Schreiber

Helen Mirren (Actor) .. Golda Meir
Born: July 26, 1945 in London
Best Known For: Playing the Queen.
Early-life: Born Ilyena Lydia Mironoff on July 26, 1945, in Chiswick, London. She has an older sister and a younger brother. Her father was a member of an aristocratic Russian military family forced to move to the UK by the 1917 Revolution. At six, Mirren decided she wanted to be an actress, but on leaving school went to teacher training college to keep her parents happy. She eventually ditched her studies in favour of the stage, and made an immediate impact playing Cleopatra in a 1965 production for the National Youth Theatre.
Career: Mirren was snapped-up by the Royal Shakespeare Company and tackled numerous classical parts. She's continued to appear on stage throughout her career, alongside TV and film roles. Her most famous TV role is Jane Tennison in police drama Prime Suspect. Her first movie was Herostratus in 1967. More famous parts came in Caligula, The Long Good Friday, Excalibur, The Mosquito Coast, Calendar Girls and Elizabeth I. In 2003 she was made a Dame and three years later won an Oscar for The Queen. She's also been nominated for The Madness of King George, Gosford Park and Hitchcock. Other big-screen outings include State of Play, The Last Station, The Tempest, Brighton Rock, Red and the remake of Arthur.

Trivia: Mirren claims to love camping, and even went on a trip with her ex-boyfriend, Liam Neeson, while they were still an item.

Born: April 23, 1950 in London
Best Known For: His extensive theatre career.
Early-life: Henry was born in London on April 23, 1950, one of six children. He went on to train as an actor at Toynbee Hall from the age of 14 at the Curtain Theatre & Studio Theatre and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
Career: Perhaps better known as a theatre actor, Goodman has won Olivier awards for roles in Assassins and The Merchant of Venice. His other theatre credits include Everyman in his Humour, Hysteria, Guys and Dolls, Tartuffe, Fiddler on the Roof and The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui. He played the role of Sir Humphrey Appleby in a stage version of Yes, Prime Minister. His film credits include Notting Hill (1999), The Damned United (2009), Taking Woodstock (2009) and Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015). On TV, he has appeared in Cold Lazarus, Unfinished Business, Foyle's War, Nixon's the One, Yes, Prime Minister and Agents of SHIELD.

Emma Davies (Actor) .. Miss Epstein
Born: March 07, 1970 in England
Best Known For: Playing Anna De Souza in Emmerdale.
Early-life: Emma-Kate Davies was born on March 7, 1970 in England to stage and television actor Geoffrey Davies, who influenced her choice of career. Geoffrey got Emma her first TV appearance, when she appeared in sitcom The Fenn Street Gang at 18 months old. Emma trained at the Corona Theatre School in London.
Career: Since the mid-1980s, Emma has appeared in a number of TV series. Her first role was as Jo Daly in the drama Boon between 1987 and 1989. Since then, she has appeared in Heatbeat, Doctors, Dream Team and Cape Wrath, as well as the film Enigma (2001). Her most notable role was in Emmerdale as Anna De Souza in 2008. More recently, she has appeared in episodes of EastEnders and Grantchester.
Quote: On Cape Wrath: "It was a lovely job and the producers had all these great ideas for a second series."
Trivia: She appeared in an advert for Colgate toothpaste at the age of 14.

Born: October 04, 1967 in San Francisco
Best Known For: The Omen and The Manchurian Candidate.
Early-life: Born Isaac Liev Schreiber on October 4, 1967, in San Francisco, California. His parents - Heather, a painter, and Tell, an actor - moved to Canada when he was just one year old. They divorced when Liev was five and he moved with his mother to New York, where she drove a cab to make ends meet. During this period, they lived as squatters in abandoned buildings. His mum didn't want him watching colour films so he grew up seeing silent and black-and-white movies, becoming particularly fond of Charlie Chaplin's work.
Career: Schreiber began acting at Hampshire College and continued at the Yale University School of Drama. Although he initially wanted to be a playwright, a teacher encouraged him to become an actor. His first TV role came in 1994 when he appeared in the drama Janek: The Silent Betrayal. Liev had several supporting roles in various independent films until his big break as Cotton Weary in the horror film Scream. He featured in the movie's sequels, then appeared in several big-budget productions including The Manchurian Candidate in 2004. Liev made his directorial debut with Everything Is Illuminated, which he also wrote, in 2005. Other film acting credits include The Omen, Defiance, X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Salt.

Trivia: He received a Tony nomination in 2010 for his role on Broadway in A View From the Bridge.
