Born: October 13, 1990 in Huntingdon
Best Known For: Playing Tamwar Masood in EastEnders.
Early-life: Himesh Jitendra Patel was born in Huntingdon on October 13, 1990. He developed his acting skills at The Cresset in Bretton, Peterborough, as part of the Young Actors Company.
Career: Patel made his first appearance in EastEnders as Tamwar Masood in October 2007. He has also appeared in the spin-off series EastEnders: E20 and Tamwar Tales - The Life of an Assistant Market Inspector.
Quote: On his British identity: "I have this extra bank of background to draw from, which is where I come from and my parents come from. But for me being British is just the same as everyone else - fish and chips and taking part in the Olympics."

Lily James (Actor) .. Ellie Appleton
Born: April 05, 1989 in Esher, Surrey
Best Known For: Playing Lady Rose MacClare in the period drama Downton Abbey and the title role in Disney's Cinderella (2015).
Early-life: Born Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson in Esher, Surrey, on April 5, 1989, but better known by her stage name Lily James. She studied at the Arts Educational School in Tring and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. In 2011, she starred in a stage version of the novel Vernon God Little at the Young Vic Theatre.
Career: James made her TV debut in the 2010 children's series Just William. The following year, she had a recurring role in the adult drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. In 2012, she starred in the movies Fast Girls and Wrath of the Titans, and landed the role of Lady Rose MacClare in ITV's period drama Downton Abbey. More recently, she played the title role in Disney's Cinderella (2015).

Born: June 26, 1961 in Essington, near Wolverhampton
Best Known For: Goodness Gracious Me and The Kumars at Number 42.
Early-life: Born Feroza Syal on June 27, 1961, in Essington, a mining village near Wolverhampton. Her parents had moved there from India a year earlier. A tomboy as a child, she did well at school and later gained a double first in English and Drama at Manchester University. Her play, One of Us, won a trophy at the National Student Drama Awards. A theatre director spotted her in it at the Edinburgh Festival and she was offered her first professional job.
Career: Syal spent seven years at the Royal Court Theatre before returning to writing and working on several BBC series. Her big break came when she penned acclaimed movie Bhaji on the Beach. Amid acting in series such as Kinsey and Holding On, she formed the Goodness Gracious Me team with friends, and their radio show went on to become a huge TV hit. Her star shined more brightly when she played grandmother Ummi in spoof chat show The Kumars at Number 42. She continues to work on stage and screen, making appearances in Doctor Who, Beautiful People and Holby City.

Trivia: Syal's written the novels Anita and Me and Life Isn't All Ha Ha Hee Hee (both of which have been adapted for either film or TV) plus the story for West End musical Bombay Dreams.

Born: November 03, 1966 in Yorkshire
Best Known For: A string of roles.
Early-life: Vincent Warren Franklin was born in Yorkshire on November 3, 1966. While studying drama at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, Vincent worked shifts in a Clifton restaurant. He made his TV debut in an edition of Sharman in 1996.
Career: Franklin is best known for playing PR guru Stewart Pearson in The Thick of It. His other TV credits include The Office, Doc Martin, Twenty Twelve and the TV movie That Day We Sang. In 2015, he played his first lead role, in Channel 4 drama Cucumber. He has appeared in a number of films, including Topsy-Turvy (1999), From Hell (2001), The Bourne Identity (2002), Vera Drake (2004), Mr Turner (2014) and The Riot Club (2014). He also has extensive theatre credits.
Quote: "I played a Tory party spin doctor for five years and nobody said to me, are you really a Tory? But as soon as you play a gay character, people want to know if you're really gay."
Trivia: Franklin is a founder of the communications consultancy Quietroom.
