Born: November 13, 1954 in Madison, Wisconsin
Best Known For: Sex and the City.
Early-life: Born Christopher David Noth on November 13, 1954, in Madison, Wisconsin. He has three older brothers. His mother, Jeanne Parr, was a news reporter for US TV channel CBS, so the family moved around a lot when he was young. He claims to have lived in England, Yugoslavia and Spain as a child, but never for very long. After school, he spent two years at Marlboro College in Vermont, living in a cabin in the woods he built himself.
Career: Noth studied acting with Sandford Meisner in New York and at the Yale School of Drama. He made his film debut in 1981's Waitress! and eventually caught producers' interest with a solid performance in Off Beat in 1986. Roles in I'll Take Manhattan and Baby Boom followed, and he became a household name in the US thanks to his part as Detective Mike Logan in Law and Order. He quit after five years with the show. Sex and the City introduced him to an international audience in 1998. He's also appeared on the big screen in the show's spin-off movies, as well as Cast Away, The Glass House and My One and Only. His recent work includes The Good Wife and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
Quote: "I have enough attention already. More, I don't really need."
Trivia: He is the co-owner of The Cutting Room, a music venue in New York.

Has won acclaim for his appearances in Broadway productions Biloxi Blues, and God of Hell. He earned a Tony nomination for his role in Arthur Miller's All My Sons. Between 2001 and 2006, Jamey played Captain James Deakins in hit drama series Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

Courtney B Vance (Actor) .. ADA Ron Carver
Born: March 12, 1960 in Detroit, Michigan
Best Known For: Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
Early-life: Courtney Bernard Vance was born on March 12, 1960, in Detroit, Michigan. He attended the Detroit Country Day School and later graduated from Harvard with a bachelor of arts degree. A memorable turn as Doc Johnson in the Vietnam war film Hamburger Hill in 1987 helped him land roles in the acclaimed movie The Hunt for Red October and TV dramas thirtysomething and In the Line of Duty: Street War. Splitting his time between the stage and screen, he built up a loyal following of devoted fans. By the mid-1990s, job offers were rolling in. Other film credits include Dangerous Minds, The Preacher's Wife, Cookie's Fortune and Space Cowboys. In 2001 he joined the cast of the Law & Order sister series Criminal Intent, the show which made him a household name. Whoopi Goldberg (Actor) .. Chesley Watkins
Born: November 13, 1955 in New York
Best Known For: Her many starring film roles.
Early-life: Born Caryn Elaine Johnson in New York on November 13, 1955. She was reportedly nicknamed Whoopi after whoopee cushions due to flatulence as a child. The surname Goldberg was adopted for the stage as her mother thought a Jewish-sounding name was more appropriate for a theatrical career. After beating a heroin addiction, Whoopi decided to become an actress, inspired by watching Nichelle Nichols as Uhuru in Star Trek. She worked in a bank, as a bricklayer and in a mortuary while trying to get her career off the ground.
Career: On moving to California in 1974, Whoopi helped found the San Diego Repertory Company and honed her performance skills doing stand-up comedy. She made her movie debut in 1982's Citizen, but became a huge star in Steven Spielberg's acclaimed drama The Color Purple three years later. She has stuck largely to comedies such as Jumping Jack Flash, Sister Act and Monkeybone since, although she has appeared in such dramas as Girl, Interrupted and Boys on the Side. In 1991 she won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in Ghost. She also had a semi-regular role in Star Trek: The Next Generation and has taken several bit-parts in US sitcoms. She also appears as a regular on American daytime talk show The View. She returned to the stage in 2010 in the musical versions of The Lion King and Sister Act.
Quote: "My family is Jewish, Buddhist, Baptist and Catholic. I don't believe in man-made religions."
Trivia: She is a member of the National Rifle Association.
