Early-life: Keanu Charles Reeves, whose first name means 'cool breeze over the mountains' in Hawaiian, was born in Beirut, Lebanon, on September 2, 1964. His mother, Patricia, was a showgirl; his father, Samuel Nowlin Reeves, was a geologist. After his parents' marriage dissolved, Keanu moved with his mother and younger sister Kim to New York City, then Toronto. He eventually dropped out of school to pursue an acting career.
Career: After a few stage gigs and a handful of made-for-TV movies, he scored a supporting role in the Rob Lowe hockey flick Youngblood (1986), which was filmed in Canada. His first popular success came in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure three years later. He then showed his range with more dramatic roles in My Own Private Idaho and Much Ado About Nothing. He truly hit the big time with action flick Speed and struck box-office gold again a few years later with the Wachowski siblings' cyber-adventure The Matrix and its sequels. Reeves' first film as director, Man of Tai Chi, was released in 2013.

Forest Whitaker (Actor) .. Capt Jack Wander

Best Known For: His Oscar-winning performance in The Last King of Scotland.
Early-life: Forest Steven Whitaker was born in Longview, Texas, on July 15, 1961, to parents Forest Whitaker Jr and Laura Francis Smith. He was born with the condition strabismus, more commonly known as lazy eye. While raising Forest and his two brothers Kenn and Damon, his mum managed to put herself through college and gain two masters degrees. He won a college football scholarship and later attended the University of Southern California, where he switched his attention to music, training as an operatic tenor, before studying drama at Berkeley.
Career: Whitaker made his screen debut in Fast Times at Ridgemont High alongside Judge Reinhold, Nicolas Cage and Phoebe Cates. Roles on TV followed, in such shows as Diff'rent Strokes and Cagney & Lacey, before an excellent scene in The Colour of Money opposite Paul Newman showcased his talents to a wider audience and led to further film roles in the likes of Platoon and Good Morning Vietnam. He starred in the 1988 Charlie Parker biopic Bird, and has since put together an impressive body of work, including The Crying Game, Ghost Dog, The Last King of Scotland, Vantage Point and two seasons of The Shield. He always has a number of films and TV work in the pipeline.

Hugh Laurie (Actor) .. Capt James Biggs

Best Known For: His double-act with Stephen Fry
Early-life: Born James Hugh Calum Laurie on June 11, 1959, in Oxford, the youngest of a doctor's four children; his father was also a gold medal-winning rower at the 1948 Olympics. After attending Eton, Hugh followed him into the sport, competing for England and in the Boat Race while at Cambridge, where he studied archaeology and anthropology. While president of the university's Footlights entertainment group, he met Stephen Fry. After touring Australia with their revue The Cellar Tapes, they teamed up professionally.
Career: Fry and Laurie's stage success led to the TV sketch show Alfresco, which also featured Emma Thompson, Ben Elton and Robbie Coltrane. In 1987, Elton cast him in sitcom Blackadder the Third as amiable idiot George. A Bit of Fry and Laurie, and Jeeves and Wooster cemented his reputation as one of the UK's brightest comedy talents. He appeared with several celebrity pals in the movies Peter's Friends, Maybe Baby, and Sense and Sensibility. Other projects include 101 Dalmatians, The Man in the Iron Mask, Stuart Little and its sequel, the Flight of the Phoenix remake and TV series Fortysomething. Early-life: Christopher Robert Evans was born on June 13, 1981 in Boston, Massachusetts, United States and raised in the town of Sudbury. His father, Robert, is a dentist and his mother, Lisa, is an artistic director at the Concord Youth Theater. He has two sisters, Carly and Shana, and a brother called Scott. After graduating from Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, he moved to New York and took classes at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
Career: One of Evans' earliest film roles was in Not Another Teen Movie (2001). After filming wrapped for this, he was cast in lead roles in The Perfect Score (2004) and Cellular (2004). His breakthrough was as superhero the Human Torch in the adaptation of Fantastic Four (2005), a role he reprised for its sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007). Best Known For: Being an actor and comedian.
Early-life: Cedric Antonio Kyles was born in Jefferson City, Missouri on April 24, 1964 to Rosetta and Kitrell. He has a younger sister, Sharita. He attended Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, and worked as an insurance claims adjuster for three years at State Farm while he developed his Cedric the Entertainer persona.
Career: Cedric made his TV debut on talent show It's Showtime at the Apollo, and shortly after on HBO's Def Comedy Jam. In 1994, he won BET's Richard Pryor Comic of the Year Award. In 1996, he moved into acting with a role on the sitcom The Steve Harvey Show, which ran for six seasons until 2002. He made the move into films and his big-screen credits include Barbershop (2002) and its 2004 sequel, Johnson Family Vacation (2004) and The Honeymooners (2005). He has also voiced characters in Ice Age (2002) and the Madagascar films. In 2013, he began hosting the American version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. He continues to perform stand-up.

Early-life: Terry Alan Crews was born in Flint, Michigan, on July 30, 1968 to Patricia and Terry Crews Sr. After leaving school, he received an art scholarship at Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan and an athletic scholarship for American football at Western Michigan University. As a defensive end, Terry helped his university team win the Mid-American Conference Championship in 1988. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in 1991.
Career: Crews went on to play American football for the San Diego Chargers, the Washington Redskins and the Philadelphia Eagles. He retired from the NFL in 1997 and moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. His first break came in 1999 when he landed a role on extreme sports show Battle Dome. He made his big-screen acting debut in The 6th Day (2000). Since then, he has starred in Starsky & Hutch (2004), White Chicks (2004), Idiocracy (2006), Get Smart (2008), Bridesmaids (2011) and The Expendables movies. Early-life: Naomie Melanie Harris was born in London on September 6, 1976. Her mother is originally from Jamaica and her father from Trinidad. They separated before she was born and she was raised by her mother. Naomie was interested in acting from an early age and attended the Anna Scher Theatre School. As a child actor, she won roles in various projects, including Simon and the Witch and The Tomorrow People. She went on to study social and political sciences at Pembroke College, Cambridge University. After graduating, she trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
Career: Harris' first break came in Danny Boyle's 28 Days Later (2002). In the same year, she starred in the TV adaptation of Zadie Smith's White Teeth.
