Best Known For: Being the original Hannibal Lecktor in Manhunter.
Early-life: Brian Denis Cox was born on June 1, 1946, in Dundee, to an Irish immigrant family. He was the youngest of five children. His mother, Mary Ann Guillerline, worked in the jute mills as a spinner, while his dad, Charles McArdle Campbell Cox, was a weaver and died of cancer when Brian was nine. Brian developed a passion for movies and, inspired by the work of Marlon Brando and Spencer Tracy, decided he wanted to become an actor. At 14, he joined the Dundee Repertory Theatre, and in 1966 honed his craft with the Birmingham Repertory Theatre and at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
Career: Cox's earliest TV appearances were as an extra in cult TV series The Prisoner. He has been a mainstay in the world of TV and film ever since, popping up in Hammer House of Horror, Minder, Frasier and Deadwood. He played Hannibal Lecktor in Manhunter, Michael Mann's adaptation of Red Dragon. (The name was later spelled Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs). He has appeared in a string of major Hollywood offerings, including The Long Kiss Goodnight, X-Men 2, Troy, The Bourne Supremacy, Zodiac and Red. On the stage he has appeared in Titus Andronicus, Taming of the Shrew and King Lear. He has also voiced characters in the video games Killzone and Manhunt.

Trivia: In 2003, Cox was awarded a CBE for services to drama.

Best Known For: Playing assorted Hollywood cops and soldiers.
Early-life: Thomas Edward Sizemore Jr was born on November 29, 1961, in Detroit, Michigan. He caught the acting bug after studying the work of Montgomery Clift, James Dean and Marlon Brando. After attending Wayne State University, he got his master's degree in theatre from Temple University in 1986. Tom moved to New York City and earned a living waiting tables at the World Trade Centre, while honing his craft performing in plays. Eventually he came to the attention of director Oliver Stone who cast him in his 1989 Vietnam drama, Born on the Fourth of July.
Career: A string of other projects followed, including TV series China Beach, and the movies Blue Steel, Flight of the Intruder, Guilty By Suspicion, Point Break and Passenger 57. By the early 1990s, Sizemore was inundated with film roles, including True Romance, Striking Distance, Wyatt Earp and Natural Born Killers. He was typecast as either macho cops in Strange Days and The Relic or gruff soldiers in Saving Private Ryan, Pearl Harbor and Black Hawk Down. In recent years he's rarely been out of work, featuring in TV shows such as Robbery, Homicide Division, Dr Vegas, CSI: Miami, Southland, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Hawaii Five-O. He always has a number of projects in the pipeline.

Best Known For: The TV series Jericho and the 2013 remake of Evil Dead.
Early-life: Shiloh Thomas Fernandez was born in Ukiah, California, on February 26, 1985. He has a sister and a brother. His early jobs included modelling for an American Apparel catalogue and working in a stock room. His first taste of acting was a commercial for government organisation First 5 California.
Career: In 2006, Fernandez made his TV debut in an episode of Cold Case. This led to minor roles in a number of shows. His first film was Interstate (2007). He landed a recurring role on short-lived TV series Jericho. His breakthrough came in 2011 when he starred opposite Amanda Seyfried in the film Red Riding Hood. Since then, Fernandez has starred in the 2013 remake of Evil Dead and the box-office flop Syrup.
