Early-life:
Kellan Christopher Lutz was born in Dickinson, North Dakota, on March 15, 1985 to Karla and Bradley. He has one sister and six brothers. He attended Chapman University to study chemical engineering, but left to pursue a career in acting. In 2004, he made his TV debut in an episode of The Bold and the Beautiful. He made further guest appearances in CSI: NY, Six Feet Under, Summerland, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Heroes.
Career:
In 2008, Lutz had a recurring role in the miniseries Generation Kill. In the same year, he played Emmett Cullen in the hugely popular movie Twilight. He reprised the role in the Twilight sequels. His other TV credits include The Comeback, 90210, Valley Peaks and 30 Rock. On the big screen, he has also appeared in Meskada (2010), A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010), Love, Wedding, Marriage (2011), Immortals (2011), The Legend of Hercules (2014) and The Expendables 3 (2014). He provided the voice for the title character in Tarzan (2013).
