William Shatner (Actor)

Best Known For: Playing Captain Kirk in Star Trek.
Early-life: William Alan Shatner was born on March 22, 1931, in Quebec, Canada. His father was a clothing manufacturer. William attended Verdun High School and gained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University in Montreal. He was raised in a Jewish household and claims he was the victim of anti-semitism while growing up. After catching the acting bug he moved to New York in 1956, initially working on live TV dramas. He also understudied for Christopher Plummer in a stage production of Henry V.
Career: Shatner spent years as a jobbing actor, appearing in such movies as The Brothers Karamazov and The Intruder, as well as The Twilight Zone TV series before Star Trek made him a household name in 1966. He played Captain Kirk for three years before the show was cancelled, then appeared in numerous TV shows and movies before Star Trek: The Motion Picture relaunched his career in 1979. He starred as Kirk in six more films before the character was finally killed off in 1994. He has also featured in TJ Hooker, Free Enterprise and Miss Congeniality and its sequel. Shatner returned to TV in 2004 in the series Boston Legal. In 2010, he starred in his first sitcom, $#*! My Dad Says. Away from showbusiness, he's written several sci-fi novels, recorded a number of much-criticised albums and is a champion horse breeder.

Trivia: In 2005, Shatner won a Golden Globe for his role on Boston Legal. He has also released several albums featuring his unique versions of popular songs.

Early-life: Heather Deen Locklear was born in Westwood, California, on September 25, 1961. Her cousin is Marla Maples, ex-wife of billionaire Donald Trump. Her father, Bill, is a director of a university careers advisory service, while her mother, Diane, is an administrative assistant at Disney. Studied psychology at college, but left before completing her degree to concentrate on acting after being spotted in class by a casting director. She began taking acting lessons as a result.
Career: Locklear made her TV debut in Tales of the Unexpected in 1979 and followed it up with guest appearances in such shows as CHiPs, The Fall Guy and Eight is Enough. Her big break came in 1981 when she was cast in Dynasty. She stayed with the glossy soap until it ended in 1989. During her time on Dynasty, she also starred in The Fall Guy and TJ Hooker. Credits since include the soap Melrose Place and TV series Spin City, Scrubs, Two and a Half Men and Boston Legal, as well as films The First Wives Club (1996), Wayne's World 2 (1993) and Uptown Girls (2003). More recently, she has starred in Hot in Cleveland and Franklin & Bash.

Early-life: Sharon Vonne Stone was born on March 10, 1958, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to a factory worker father and a housewife mother. She has three siblings. After graduating from high school at just 15, she studied creative writing and fine arts at Edinboro State University. She planned to become a lawyer but decided to try showbusiness instead. While working part-time at a fast food restaurant, she won a local beauty contest at 17 and became a model at 18.
Career: Stone made her film debut in Woody Allen's Stardust Memories in 1980. She appeared in a host of hit-and-miss offerings, including King Solomon's Mines and Action Jackson before 1990 blockbuster Total Recall boosted her image. Stone became a household name two years later thanks to her role as bisexual novelist Catherine Tramell in Basic Instinct, a part she reprised for a sequel in 2005. She received an Oscar nomination for her role in Martin Scorsese's Casino, and co-produced and starred in Western The Quick and the Dead. More recent projects include Bobby, Lovelace and TV series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2010.
