Born: January 29, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan
Best Known For: Magnum, PI.
Early-life: Thomas William Selleck was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 29, 1945 to Martha and Robert. His family moved to Sherman Oaks, California during his childhood. A talented athlete, Tom attended the University of Southern California on a basketball scholarship. He went on to study acting at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and was serving as a soldier in the California National Guard when he was activated for the Watts riots in Los Angeles in 1965.
Career: Selleck won small parts in films and TV shows during the 1970s until his big break came in 1979 when he was cast in the lead role in detective series Magnum, PI. The popular series earned him an Emmy and a Golden Globe and it ran for eight seasons, clocking up 162 editions. He went on to star alongside Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg in the box-office smash Three Men and a Baby (1987), had a recurring role in the sitcom Friends during the 1990s and since 2005, he has played lawman Jesse Stone in a series of TV movies based on novels by Robert B Parker. Since 2010, he has played Frank Reagan in police drama Blue Bloods.

Trivia: Selleck turned down the role of Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark to honour the contract he had just signed for Magnum, PI.

Born: June 18, 1952 in Rome
Best Known For: Being Ingrid Bergman's daughter
Early-life: Isabella Fiorella Elettra Giovanna Rossellini was born on June 18, 1952, in Rome, the daughter of Hollywood star Ingrid Bergman and her second husband, director Roberto Rossellini. She has a twin sister, a brother and numerous half-siblings. At 13 she suffered a spine injury, which kept her bedridden for a year. After being a TV journalist in Europe she appeared on Italy's version of Saturday Night Live. Isabella was then spotted by photographer Bruce Weber, who encouraged her to become a model.
Career: Isabella's modelling career took off, making her one of the world's most familiar faces. Her acting debut was in 1976 movie A Matter of Time, but it was 1985's White Nights which made her name. She followed that up with Blue Velvet, Cousins, Wild at Heart and Death Becomes Her. She has also appeared in The Innocent, Wyatt Earp, The Saddest Music in the World, and TV miniseries Napoleon. In 2004 she appeared on Broadway in The Stendahl Syndrome.

Trivia: Away from acting, she's been the face of Lancome, continues to model and has developed her own cosmetics line.
George Eads (Actor) .. Shorty Austin
Born: March 01, 1967 in Fort Worth, Texas
Career: Eads taught drama at a school in Texas, but after appearing in several commercials, he moved to Los Angeles, making his movie debut in 1994's Dust to Dust. His first TV role was in an episode of Strange Luck, and a year later he got his big break when he landed a part in the 1994 pilot for glossy soap Savannah. Three episodes of ER followed, as did the series Grapevine. In 2000, he began playing Nick Stokes in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He also played the lead role in a TV movie based on the life of daredevil Evel Knievel.
Best Known For: CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
Early-life: Born George Coleman Eads III on March 1, 1967, in Fort Worth, Texas. His father is a lawyer, his mother a headmistress. He has two siblings. At school, he acted in a few plays, but preferred playing American Football. He later attended Texas Tech University, where he first seriously considered treading the boards. He finished a marketing degree, then took his mother's advice to concentrate on becoming an actor - after stints working at a gym and as a photocopier salesman.

Trivia: He has voiced roles in Young Justice and Justice League Unlimited.
