Dave Myers and Si King are in north-west Wales, discovering a host of inspiring local producers who typify the area's rich diversify. They meet Maggie, a Nigerian kitchen goddess whose spicy West African dishes are heating up the village of Penygroes, and Steff, whose love of travel inspired him to open his own speciality coffee shop 10 years ago. There are also visits to farmers Matt and Jenny, who grow food by replicating the ecosystems found in the wild, and a bakery that produces Kurdish pasties

Born: December 27, 1962 in Nairobi
Best Known For: Filming and presenting nature documentaries.
Early-life: Simon Henry King was born in Nairobi on December 27, 1962 to John and Eve. His father was at the time working for Forces Broadcasting Overseas but he later relocated the family to Bristol and went on to become a TV producer/director at the BBC. Simon's first taste of TV came in 1973 when he was as a child actor in one of his father's wildlife dramas. Three years later, Simon toured the country searching for wildlife with naturalist Mike Kendall for the BBC series Man and Boy.
Career: In 1984, King made his first film, a study of the wildlife surrounding a willow tree. It was broadcast as an edition of BBC series The World About Us. Since then, he has been involved in a number of nature documentaries as a presenter and cameraman, including Springwatch, Autumnwatch, Big Cat Diary, Simon King's Shetland Diaries, Snow Watch, Planet Earth, Blue Planet, Life, and Nature.

Trivia: King has written a number of wildlife books.
